Better DMX Addressing for Multi Fixtures

Not sure if I should put this here or in the DMX section but here goes.
Using the Compu Live Software, when using multi fixtures of the same kind, is it better to give each fixture its own address or is it okay to use the same address? For instance, I now have 6 Colorstrip minis. I started the program and in making the page for it started out on address 15. I address each fixture at 15. They seem to all work okay but I can not get them to do the Multiple color chasing that they are supposed to be able to do. The Program does not give me that option. I can make them all green, red etc. but can't get them to just chase randomly. The same question for the Mini Spots (I also have 6) with addressing them. They also seem to be just behind each other in the movements.

It is better to address them individually. Gives you more control. For the color strip profile, was the profiles name Color Strip mini RGB mode? Also i am not sure exactly why the min spots are slightly behind? Could be a DMX issue or maybe a Pan and tilt speed setting that you are not aware of? Give me more details.
Thanks.

No, the profile just says, Chauvet folder>Colorstripmini. I noticed that in the pages of the Compu Live program that it has the buttons to click on for "auto" and "color change" but it just does not seem to function right.
On the Mini Spots, I will see if the way I have the Addresses set have something to do with it.
Now, I will also give each fixture it's own address as well BUT, When I put all these together, should I give the addresses in the order that they are in the array?
For instance, in 1 universe, Coming out the dongle, I will put a Color strip (dmx add 1-4), then the next color strip (dmx add 5-8) then a Mini spot (dmx add 9-20 Because it runs on 13 channels, i think) another color Strip (dmx add 21-24) and lets just say thats the last fixture.
OR, can I just give the fixtures thier appropriate address and not worry about where they are in the actual physical line of set up?
I'll get this down first then consider a "multiple" universe. LOL. Thanks again!

It does not matter where the physical fixture is in the line. Just as long as they are addressed properly and the fixture is set to the correct channel mode.
