I've got a platinum Spot 5r that when i turn it on the display shows Motor Reset for a long time.. after the fixture is done "resetting" the motors are very loose. none of the motors are working.. the bulb does strike though.

any ideas on what is going on?

remove both arm covers on one of the arms there is a pCb with a micro fuse. please check and see if it has blown.

Does that PCB control all the Motors in the fixture?

it does.

Are u working under Air condition place?

the building does have AC but the fixture is sitting on the stage floor.

I think I had that error on my first platinum spot 5r out of the box.

Yea, I've had quite a few problems with the platinum series so far. Nearly half of my new fixtures have some sort of defect, albeit some of the defects were error on the delivery guys.

What kind of defects do your fixtures had ?
