I am curious if anyone has physically seen the 108IP? I am looking for a few new fixutres to wash some players onstage. I had some Pixelrange stuff to demo over the weekend and found that the K2 series Luxeons in those lights has a different blue. It is a much deeper blue and really helps make a nice purple and a deeper pink. It is fairly accepted that Yellows are a weak color for LED's but I would say purple is a close second. That being said I think I can see from the pictures on Elations sight that the blue leds on the fixtures do indeed look a shade deeper than say the Design 36's which I have 8 of. Would love to hear some real world experience on this...as I am trying to get a demo at the moment. Thanks!

After visiting the lumileds homepage I found that there are two blues available...blue and royal blue. That must be the difference.

John,

Would you use the 108IP for stage lighting indoors?

Hi brian,
I recieved your message.
both the Impression and DLED 108 use Luxeon K2 Leds. But the DLED 108 uses reg blue LEDS.
I'm not sure what color the Impression uses. so I will look into it for you as well.

Yes I found this out today. Bummer as I already had placed the order for the 108. After looking at some of the Martin and PixelPar fixtures I think the Royal Blue is the way to go. I could get so much better purples and also a bit better pinks. The only thing it effects are the whites, but that is where the white and amber LED come into play. Thanks!

Jingles,

I am not getting the 108IP. I really wanted the Royal Blue Luxeon so I am checking some other fixtures at the moment.
