I purchased two power spots and have about 200 hrs on the first set. I purchased two more and have only 20 hrs on the second set and noticed the second set runs slower then the first set. I use these for a rock club and also for demo to customers it doesnt look good when they are not the same speed. Did I miss any settings I set them exactly up the same way. If there is any thing i could check ?????

actually ya. did u add them to the compu live you use? if so there is a default pan and tilt fade times in the 3D construction mode. however i am unsure if it really affects the fixtures. you use compu right? its a shot in the dark but i figured worth trying.

The pan/tilt speed settings in the construction mode, only affect what you see on the screen, not the actual fixtures. The only thing that would affect the speed of the lights, is A- The fade time on the console or software, B- The Pan/Tilt Speed channel of the fixture(channel 14 on the Power Spot 250). If you have them all on the same fade, check the Pan/Tilt speed. If they are all set the same, and you still have 2 fixtures running faster than the others, use your speed channel on the older 2 to match the speed of the newer ones.

Hope this helps!

Flash, check the revision on the POwer spot 250.
It comes up as soon as you power them up.

Then set them all to channel 001 and to manual pan and tilt test to see if its the controller or the light.

at 001 they should all do the exact same thing.

Best regards,

I am using compu ware 2002 on a HP lap top and also a Levition NSI 128R MLC It does it on both.

EBAC Lights
These are my settings on the NSI 128R MLC
The fade time is set at 0 and on the P/T speed is also set at 0 . Also the fine tilt speed and the fine pan speed is also set at 0 .
It is set up to run these fixtures at there fastest speed.

The first two fixtures I purchased are version V 1.66 (faster ones) The second two fixtures are verision V1.75 (Slower ones)

I called tech support and got a new set of IC chips to install in the 1.66 fixtures but installed them the 1.75 fixtures (as per tech support)

I will try the test function next. Doug is going to call back soon

Thanks all you guys for the instant replys

Yeh, sounds like the firmware of the fixture is causing the speed problem. You may check with tech support and make sure they didnt change any other components like motors.
