I have 2 DS250 fixtures, one of them has an issue with the lens used for focusing that creates a light frost effect on the projected beam, (somewhat like 30% of the frost filter). The lens isn't dirty, it is in the middle if the lens. It causes the "crispness" of the projected gobo to go away. Has anyone else ever had this problem?

Hi Nick,
Are you saying the frost filter is blocking part of the beam? It has to do with the programming. Someone must have moved something that engaged the frost filter. Try to adjust it from the controller. John J Lopez Elation Professional |

No, thats just an example of the effect the bad lens causes on the light. The frost is at 0% and is operating correctly.

Ok, so frost is off, but you are getting a frost effect, and all the lenses are clean?
correct? John J Lopez Elation Professional |

oK. I'm with you then.
Your best bet would be to call the Elation Service department and tell them you may have a bad focus lens. They will help you with what to do from there Please call: 866-245-6726 John J Lopez Elation Professional |

I replaced the bad lens a few months ago. The glue in the middle of old lens burnt, and it looked nasty. After I installed the new lens, I realized my other fixture looks bad. I guess I'll have to replace it too! Has this been a common problem with these fixtures? I purchased these December 06.
