Pan and tilt issues

Hey folks

Got 2 Design Spot 250s, one of them has lost the its pan and tilt movments. Gives me the corrosponding error codes on test. I have checked the stop sensors all seem to be tight an in correct postions. They have less than 200 hours of use on em. I have called tech support and they went through the usuall symptoms and they feel the curcuit board is next obviuos issue. I have read on another post the possibilty of a surge killing the board. There is also a white pasty substance that is globbed on the cicruit board. Not sure where that came from.
I am gettin gready to send it in for some love.
Before I do, any suggestions that I might have missed? and any recomendations on how to get it in the shop and fixed as easy as possible.

Thanks John

Hi JohnE.Boy, and welcome to the forums.

I would ship it back at this point. Sounds like something might have blown. Hard to tell without looking at it myself, but white and pasty generally means something blew.

Sorry about that.

Hi John, on the base of the unit you will find the main board, take a look at the fuses on there. I believe one of the fuses have blown. if the fuses are ok then i would advise obtaining an RA (return authorization) and sending it in for service. if you have any questions give me a call at 323-213-4555 or email me at service@elationlighting.com thanks
