Design Spot 250 Tilt Motor and Encoder Removal

I have a design spot 250 that appears to have a bent tilt motor shaft /encoder wheel or it's not properly seated on the stepper motor shaft.

I have it disconnected, detensioned, and the belt off.I took the 4 screws out of the plate that holds the stepper motor to the frame as well. I'm wondering whats the easiest way to actually remove the stepper motor and encoder wheel at this point for inspection?

hi mike how are you sir.
if you look on the gear it self you will see
two small allen pinch bolts. i think ts a 3 mm.
if you loosen both up you should be able to
slide the gear portion off of the shaft. if the
shaft is severly bent you may have to brake the shaft in order to remove.

hi gines,

thanks for your response...

I was able to get it off after inspecting it appears the encoder wheel somehow was slightly bent and was scraping against the sensor.

I replaced the encoder wheel and still had "jerky" movements in the tilt function. I then swapped the encoder sensor board and the problem seems to have cleared up at this point.
