Hello, I just purchased 10 EPAR QWs. They're installed in our rig and I love them! Except...
They're flickering. I have tried everything I can think of. Here's a list of my observations and what I've tried. I would love to buy more but if I can't figure out this flickering issue, I'll be forced to get rid of these fixtures. IT IS distracting.
Fixture modes
1. High power mode
2. No dimming curve
3. 4 channel DMX mode
Observations
1. The flickering is random
2. I haven't found a way to reproduce it
3. It happens on all 10 of the fixtures
4. They don't all flicker at the same time
5. The time between flickers seems random
6. They flicker off then bright white regardless of color or intensity
Troubleshooting
1. Put the fixtures on their own isolated out from our DMX splitter
2. Replaced all DMX cables with known good cables
3. Added terminator to the end of the chain
4. Moved fixtures to their own power circuit
5. Changed DMX outputs on our Jands T4
6. Added extra space between DMX addresses (8ch between each fixture)
7. I manually checked that the fixture doesn't lose power when it flickers (I stared at the LED display while someone else watched for flicker)
I really need to figure this out and I'm out of ideas. I'd appreciate any help or ideas.
