Those of you with Scene Setter's with support for the Fog Storm machines.... Does anyone have a pin-out diagram for the 5-pin DIN that on the rear of the SS48; or alternately, the pin-out on the Fog Storm? I'm finding that there really isn't a whole lot of documentation on such basic facts for these devices. Any info is appreciated.

I think you need the DMX Timer (click the picture of the controllers) to use DMX/console control with the Fog Storm. I could be wrong though, so hopefully someone from Elation/AMDJ can clarify since I see no way of addressing the unit with the DMX Timer.

Actually, the SS has built in support for the fog using a male-to-male 5 pin DIN cable from controller to the fog unit. I've tested and confirmed the function. What we are trying to determine is the voltage and nature of the signal being transmitted to determine whether we could do a 150ft run by converting the 5-pin DIN to Cat5e and then back. I'm almost inclined to do a proof of concept. The longest published run that I have encountered is 50 feet, however, I need to run it through existing conduit from the controller to display. Anyone try converting this before?

Hmmm, that might work. It will come down to if the DIN is an analog signal or not since Cat5 is digital. Again, you can try the DMX Timer but I don't know the finer points of how that works either. Sorry, seems to be you are getting a lot of 'finer points' from me instead of hard answers.

SerraAva, Finer points are ok. Any ideas and input at this point are better than none. Thanks again.
