hey everyone,...im new to this, my question is: i have a nsi ncm 1600 microplex and there is a coverter for the newer nsi 1616 board for microplex to dmx,....would there possibly be a coverter for my older microplex to run my dmx dimmer pax?....the company advertise's it @ about $70 .....any help, thank in advance,....carl brooks-----pro musician and got put in this spot...to run lights 4 band...lol | |||

They do exsit but generally aren't cheap. NSI (now NSI/Leviton/ColorTran)was the company that invented the protocol back before DMX became the standard for the industry. They make a box but it is not cheap. Doug Fleenor also has one but it is even more expensive. If you can post a link to the one someone is trying to sell you I might be able to tell you if it will work or not. I personally only have experience with the NSI box and can tell you it works perfectly fine. | ||||
