I have recently purchased 10 Event Panel LED's. I also own an Elation DMX Operator controller, which I assume I can use with my lights. I have a couple of questions.
1. I want to use my light for 2 applications-the first being used as uplighting in only one color. I also want to use them as a slow change of colors. I am fairly new to LED's and controllers. What settings do I use for my lights to best suit the controller?

2. On a different note, if I wanted to set the colors of the lights individually using the RGB mode-is there a list of colors and what numbers to set for the red, blue green on the lights?

I appreciate any help-thanks
Mike

1: Sure. Wash in 1 color is no problem. Slow wash to another color MIGHT be an issue. You'd want to probably go into a macro mode with a slow change between colors. Or, set up different scenes to make chases, then set your fade time to something super slow. Set Scene 1 for Target color 1, set scene 2 for Target Color 2. Repeat as necessary. Program your chase, go on a timer basis, use a SLOW fade time. Then you can walk away for a while. I think chases will repeat.

You'll want to document your colors and scenes to help you do your chases.

2: There are RGB lists all over the place, including in Photoshop. Lots of web sites show RGB values. You can also convert HEX to decimal to get RGB(2 values per color, RGB in order. Use a hex capable calculator, such as the Scientific one that comes with XP and later). The only issue you'll have is that all lists are incomplete. Unless you're using some sort of JAVA based applet or Photoshop(or some other graphics package) that can show color based on RGB value or vise-versa, you're somewhat at the mercy of what's provided. Do a search for RGB colors and that might get you going in the right direction.
