just got my cyber pak, and I can't seem to figure out whether the dimming can be controlled via MIDI, or just the on/off. there is a complex MIDI chart in the printed manual that is not on the .pdf version, but I'm not sure how to incorporate this info into my sequencer.
any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

trish,
The manual cleary says that dimming can be controled with midi. It's crazy that the manual pdf doesn't include the midi chart.

Hopefully Jingles can post the midi chart for the unit. If not, can you describe what the chart says? With that I probably could help you out.

ok thanks for clearing that up - Elation tech support was not really clear on this when I caled. I'll try to scan the chart this evening if no one finds it by then.

I'm fairly new to midi so, honestly, I have no idea how to enter the data to control the fades... maybe I need a controller with an actual assignable fader on it? I'm using either Reaper or a drum machine to sequence.

If the unit will do what its literature says it will do, you shouldn't need a controler.
I don't know anything about Reaper. Do you know how to get Reaper to send midi notes and midi channels you choose?

If not, let me know what drum machine you will be using when you post the midi chart.

sorry to say I was unable to find time to scan the manual before my band went on tour.
I understand how to send midi notes to different channels, yes. all I can manage to do with this machine is trigger on/off, using the start notes - it seems as if all 4 sets of outlets work from 1 midi channel, each w/ a dedicated start note.
I was really hoping someone could at least point me in the right direction with what I'm missing here. The manual's instructions are extremely minimal.

I have the same problem as Trish - how, how, how?
Has anyone found an answer?
Thanks.

ADJ hasn't updated the online manual and no one has posted the midi table. Until one of those happens your not likely to get an answer - even though an answer would be easy if either of these things happened.

John,
Page 5 & 6 do tell us how to set up midi, but it doesn't tell us what the notes do. That is why the physical manual includes the midi chart. As Trish noted in the beginning of this thread, the printed manual has the chart and the online chart doesn't.
I can't answer Trish's or prthnon's questions without the midi map. Can you?
