Hi! This might be more apropos of the DMX programming section, but I really don't know. Anyway, my theater mates and me are figuring out how to use a new scene setter 48 to program our lighting. We've figured out how to program the steps, but don't know what to do if we make a mistake while adding a step. It appears we have to finish the whole program and save it before going back and deleting the mistaken step. Is there a way to immediately delete a step we just added? Thanks for any help!

Hey, thanks for the welcome and for the answer, but I'm wondering if you can delete a step without having to save the program. Page 14 tells you how to delete a step after entering them all and saving the program. What if you make a boo boo and know it right away and want to just delete the last step you entered? Can you do that? I mean, if you've got 200 steps you're entering into one program, and on step 54 you incorrectly put in the wrong step, you have to finish entering the other 146 steps, save the program, then go back to step 54 and fix it (via the instructions on page 14). I'd just like to delete the mistake right after I made it and continue programming. Is that possible?

Also, is there a way to make the Segment Display show the step number instead of the program number?

I've read the manual and it's not, which is why I found this forum. Nowhere does the manual say how to delete a step without going into edit mode, which means that the program has been saved. For example, on page 9 of the manual, in step 5 of the directions, they say "repeat 3 and 4 until all steps have been added" and they could easily have mentioned how to remove steps you didn't mean to add, if it is possible.

If it's not possible, it's not possible -- I often ask for features that don't exist (usually with my cable TV though).

Also, the manual says in section 2.2.6 that you will see the step number when you're in edit mode, but that didn't happen for me, which is why I asked if there's something you have to press to make that happen. I knew I was in edit mode because I could delete steps (couldn't insert them, oddly enough).

Apologies if you're the person who wrote the manual, but it's not geared to novices. It seems you have to have a certain amount of experience with light boards to get it. Which is fine, but is also why I sought out this forum.

idaho im soryy if i gave u a short answer but i don't own the console ur operating and just tried my best to help u but i can't tell u how to do what ur asking cause i myself have never operated ur board. sorry. i also do not work at elation. but i know a lot about most of their products. once again sorry. also u might not get a whole lot of help this week seeing as how everybody from elation will be at the namm show this weekend and they might not be able to help or give advice. usually one or two mods will come on a lil later in the week to check things out! best regards! jingles! now if u have a compuware question hit me up!!
