I've noticed that the new tri leds and the design leds are flicker free for video? Are all of the Elation Leds this way or is it just the newer stuff?

some is and some isn't.
Usually when an item is using Luxeon LED's it will be flicker free.
If it is using standard 1W's then it may not be.

OPTI 30 uses an incandecant PAR 30 75W lamp.
OPTI 30 RGB does not use Luxeon LED's. its not Flicker free.
OPTI RGB is not flicker free either.

Hmm. Well alot of the articles on the Opti 30 RGB are saying that is flicker free.

"In addition to its compact size, the Opti 30 RGB features a number of new upgrades that make it the ultimate advanced color-changing fixture. One of these is new LED driver technology, which gives it flicker-free operation, making it ideal for TV and video applications."

This is just one of many articles that are saying this about it...

Guess what..
I was wrong. I apologize.
I found out the OPTI 30 RGB is flicker free.
OPTI RGB is not.
It has to do with dip switch vs. digital display technology.
So...i'll work on getting a list together on post it on this site.

As far as OPTI 30 RGB.. flicker free.. good to go.
