I sent this as an E-mail before I realized there are support forums. I will post what I sent below: My name is Brian Morgan, and I program/run lights for a club in Peoria, IL. We have a Show Designer 2 as our primary DMX controller, and several of the faders have either broken off or have stopped functioning. In addition, the "Beat" and "Go" buttons have quit working. I haven't opened the board up and looked inside yet, but I'm assuming there is a control card of some sort that can be removed and replaced. Do the faders and the buttons I mentioned reside on the same control card? How expensive would it be to replace? How easy of a job would changing it be? I've given up wishing for them to purchase me the SD3, so I'll have to make due with what I already have. Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Brian

Hey Brian, Here is a link to the parts page on American DJs site. http://parts.americandj.com/ProductsList.aspx?ProductLine=SHOW%20DESIGNER%202 The parts for the SD2 are fairly cheap. More than likely if your faders or buttons have stopped working, then its probably not the control board, just the components. If you can use a soldering gun, replacing the faders and buttons will easy for you.

Thanks for the link. I see what I need to buy to replace the faders. Is the "TACT SWITCH" what I'll need for each of the broken buttons? Also, the fader that broke completely off is missing the plastic cap that goes onto the piece of metal. Can those be purchased? I didn't see them listed on that page.

Sorry I am just getting back to you... Yes, the tact switch is what you need for the buttons. I do not know about the caps for the buttons, but you will probably have to call american dj and see if any of there newer caps will work on that board. Justin

Hey Brian, I did some looking for you. Go to the DMX controllers parts page, and there are several units that use the same caps like the Magic 360 and the DMX operator. Justin

Hahah... no problem on the delayed response. I already had the club owner order the caps for the DMX Operator, assuming they were the same. Good to know I was correct. Thanks for all the information. Brian
