Hi,

My issue is we are using a scene setter 48 in our church and on occasion the ss-48 goes into blackout for no apparent reason. We are running about 20 par cans and 4 1000 watt lights thru this controller and . The lights are being used statically for our broadcast.

Chruch Boy,
The Scene Setter 48 starts up in blackout mode when powered on. So there's a posibility that the unit is losing power. Try a different power supply and make sure there are no power issues in the building.

Surge Pro Tech
Thanks for the input. I have actually been in the media room when it happened but I don't believe it is a power issue on the building side simply because the computer on the same circut as the board is not having an issue. Just speculation but I believe a resistor has a crack and is heating up and seperating causing a temporary lost of power to the ss-48. but I will verify it is not plugged in to a faulty surge protector. We tried running it with just the light bar on and the four 100 watt lights dimmed and it did not trip out it is only when the 1000 watts are active that this seems to happen. Any other suggestions
