I was wandering if anyone out there has used the Show Designer 3 or has anything to say about it. I'm in the market for a new console and can pick one of these up at the great price of $----. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Jarrod

Hi Jerald, I recently Purchased the Console about 3 Weeks ago and have used it 4 Time Since. Overall It Pretty Easy to Use, Its very similar to the NSI MLC16D Console, The Main DownFall is there is now external monitor, and when there are over 1000 presets, etc. Its very hard to remember what button does what.

I use the monitor on my SD2 works great! It's nice because you have quick access to everything, and can even launch scenes, chases, everything with the click of a mouse. Just wonder if there will be an update where we can actually edit within the monitor window, that would be great! Just an Idea, I have caught myself trying to type in the monitor section when I change something, But I have to do it from the board..
Color creates!

Misebeam, have you tried using the channel value editing features from the monitor program? When you click on a channel box, a pulldown appears with all of the available channel values to choose from.
Also, to anyone that is interested, when the SD3 is attached to the latest version of the monitor program, additional displays to view the playbacks and other things unique to the SD3 are turned on.
Elation Pro... Will I need to add software to the console or just my computer. Also does the Program only work for PC. Is there going to me a mac version at anytime. I have the cable coming in today, so ill be sure to let you know how well it works.

Lightguy, the program is only PC based at this time.. I don't see a Mac version comming out in the near future. You install the software to you PC, then connect the SD3 to the PC with a null modem cable through a com port. no need to install anything on SD3.

I finally got all the proper cables in and changed the Com Port to 1. However Now I'm getting a message stating that the Show Designer 3 is not connecting...Any Tips? Thanks
