I also just found out that If you don't have a good virus blocker, you will have a lot of background junk working and slowing down your system.

i am actually running the software on a dedicated, installed desktop, with a totally fresh install of windows and NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING else installed on it. its not even connected to the internet unless i physically drag a cable to it!!

it seems like the time or two ive had the software crash (not the computer, just the software) the lights immediate lost their "brains" and went black/into dummy mode.

i did not have anything actually programmed into the dongle though / easystandalone.

Level 10,
Are you running windows XP or Vista?

Also, run a scene on the program, then while the scene is on, close the program down, and see if the scene holds.

its actually windows server 2003 i think.... (i know, probably not supported, but it was the cleanest computer i could find around the office hehe)

if i have a scene on (static, no motions or anything) and close the program, the lights stay for about 5 seconds then blank/dummy mode.

havent had a chance to load a look into easystandalone and test it yet... been busy with finals! :-(

note: the dongle also goes from "PC" to "01" on the readout when the program closes.

maybe this means its trying to go to the 01 look saved into the dongle? (which there isnt one, so the lights dont get any info?)

Hmmm.. thats a big problem.
the software is set up for XP of Vista, anything else and you will find serios problems.

You need to use the 2004 edition software.

Yes.. allways save your work.
If you do this, then you will want to wipe everything clean, install XP, then reinstall Compu, then load your saved work.
Otherwise by using 2004 you will have to start fresh.
