I am about to hook up a Magic 260 to our system. Couple of questions I thought someone here could help me with.

1. When it says 24 fixtures, what if I have 26? 264 DMX channels are enough, but will I not be able to control the other fixtures?

2. Do I really need a special USB, "USB MEM
STICK" or cable...OR can I use a standard USB jump drive/cable?

So, I'm going to add some information to see if anyone can help me.

I have 26 total fixtures, but only different types of fixtures. 16 of them are LED pars. I do not want to address all of them the same because I want to keep individual control of them.

SO, how does this work with the 24 fixture limit?

The Magic 260 can only control 24 fixtures, with a max channel count of I think 24 per fixture. You stated you are using LED Pars. What you can do it trick the console, set a number of 24 channel fixtures for your LED pars. If they are 6 channel, you can get 4 LED Pars per 24 channel fixture. This will get confusing fast however, but will work.

As for the USB question, someone from Elation will have to answer that.
