James Keeley, you mentioned in a post the following and the question was asked is there a way to sync the music with CompuLive without getting the 2048FC dongle. I have the 1024EC and would like to know the "work around" if you would be so kind. Also, you mentioned just saving the Easy Show as a cycle (If I understood correctly). How do you do this? You posted this: You can still use easy show but instead of live triggering it. save it as a cycle on the master page. and then once the cycle is created you can then simply play it back however the audio wont be a part of the cycle. But there is another work around for that if your intrested. Please share the "Work around" concept. This message has been edited. Last edited by: mdthomas, Thanks in advance! Mike

This is easy. All you do is get your timeline set up in east show. Have all your cues set up and at the times you want them. Once your done with all that go to file and you should see and option to generate the cycle. Before you do this though make sure compu is running. Run save the cycle. And it should have all your scenes and switches saved. Try this and let me know. Sincerely,

James, I haven't worked in Easy Show before, so let me repeat what you said to see if I understand: 1. Open Compu 2006 2. Open Easy Show (without the dongle attached) 3. Import the music file 4. Drag and drop the scenes/switches in. 5. Adjust lights to the music. 6. Go to File/Generate Cycle (while Compu is open) 7. Save the timelines as a cycle in Easy Show. Question: Does this mean I would open the cycle up in Easy Show and run it from there. If so, I can't run Easy Show with the 1024EC dongle (which I have to have to run my lights). Thanks in advance! James, it's works great! It's just that I will need a little more guidance here. Most of my lights have been setup using scenes, not switches. If I click the INIT button to turn off the cycle before it finishes the lights do not go off. When restarting the cycle the lights seem to stay in the position of the last step when turned off, they don't reset back to the first step in the cycle. Should I be using switches and NOT scenes? To be a little more specific, I have two 27 channel color pallets using channels 1-27 and 28-54. Then I have three 2 channel spots using channels, 55-56, 57-58 and 59-60. For example, if I stop the cycle while a color pallet has blue and one spot is on, when restarting the cycle the spot should go off but doesn't. They reason why it should is because it isn't turned on yet in step one of the cycle. Shouldn't the spot go off? Isn't there a way to reset everything back to the first step in the cycle? Thanks in advance! Mike

well when you are programming a cycle you have to keep in mind that it is just granbing the scenes from the fixture pages. So if you hit unit where the cycle is the scenes will still be on on the respective fixture page. So one thing that I do is assign a keyboard trigger of backspace to ALL the INIT buttons. That way if I want a blackout I can get one quick and blackout my whole rig. Hope this helps. Sincerely,

You click on the scene you wish to hot key trigger. So once clicked hold ctrl and then press the backspace. And a blue B will appear I'm the lower right hand corner of the INIT scene. Do this for all your unit scene and they should all respond the same way. Sincerely,

Got it, you're the best! Appreciate you being there... Thanks in advance! Mike
