i've rescently bought a DMX operator, and love it, planning on upgrading in the future but for right now. I'm having one issue though

I have two scanners and a DMX strobe, and with my DMX scanner I would set like a straight spot up using a white color and with my next spot will set it up using a red color right by it. The problem I have when I set Scanner 1 up and turn off the fixture button to turn on the 2nd fixture button it turns it off. Is there a way I can set this up with out it going black on me.

I hope I was clear on the instructions if not please feel free to shoot me an email jhitchcock@jeffjams.net
Thanks a million in advance
Jeff H

Hey Thanks for the reply jingles.

I'm using American DJ DJ Scan 250 HP and American DJ Deluxe Scn 250 for my scanners and am also using a Chauvet RGB LED Strobe (that is DMX controlled) all of this is through my DMX operator.

I have My Deluxe Scan on Fixture 1
LED Strobe on Fixture 2
DJ Scan 250 on Fixture 3.

It was letting me operate the LED Strobe and the deluxe scan How I said in the prevous reply but its not letting me use the two scanners, I'll contiue to miss with it as well and try to figure it out.

Also Im looking to add some Par Cans like on a dimmer, can this be done with the Operator or do I need to get the DMX Operator Pro, I'm planning on getting that version within the month or so.

Again thanks for any help

as long as u have spare channels u can use what u have now for dimmers. all u have to do is address the dimmer pack at the first channel of a free fix button. and the rest should work fine. as far as ur HP scanner man i dunno what could be causing that. what do u have it addressed as? like right at number one. ur also blocking ur fixtures in groups of 16 right? im just makin sure cause i can't figure it out. and when i can't figure it out is is usually something simple. lol. peace! jingles.

Jeff,
You must be in program mode in order to have the scanners stay on. If you're not in program mode then all values will return to zero when a fixture button is turned off.

Hello, im new here. I'm having trouble choosing what dmx controller to buy. My options are Elation Dmx operator Pro and a computer soft by sunlite, not the suite, the stand alone version - money is a big issue. the elation im thinkin on is new and at a very good price 280... and the soft is 220, but i've been using it and its not what i hoped for. im planning on buying 12 colorsplah jr. have 4 amdj fusion scan 250, and 8 par cans. the scene mixing on the stand alone is not very good, i cannot 'mix' my background changes with te scans... thats why im leaning towards elation? any suggestions?
