Ok, I'm new to Elation Compu Live. I'm used to using ETC consoles, and this is almost completely different. I've figured out how to do almost anything I want to do. I do have several questions at the moment. I've recently started working for a small event lighting company, and I told them that it might be possible to use the 3D visualizer that comes the the compu live software to create simple lighting plots to show their clients. I was wondering if it would be possible to do that without using the compu live software to build a show? The reason I ask is this: the event lighting company has no need for lighting control software because they mainly do conventional lighting for weddings and banquets, and they do not even own lighting console.
Another question: Is there a way to change the color of conventional lighting instruments like parcans in the visualizer?

Parcanman,
The answers to your questions would both be yes.
1. When you bought the software, the CD rom comes with a program called Magic 3D. This is the visualizer without Compu. It allows you to plug in your ETC console to it to run the lights.
2. In Page Settings, if you select 1 fixture you will get options for that one fixture. Here you can select a color to represent the Gel you are putting on the can. This way when you turn it on, it will have color.
