Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has any .ssl files for iCoves from Color Kinetics (now Philips. I have already built some in the editor, but I would like to access some of the pre-caned functions, like strobe, wash, and cycle that is built in the units. I have tried to find something on Color Kinetics site on DMX, but no luck. I just do not want to re-invent the wheel if someone already has it setup. And yes these are "LTP" modules, so that also adds the pain of zeroing each channel before each transitions... Any help would be appreciated.

Misebeam.. this is easy!
Simply find the user manual for the Icove and send Jingles the info.
He'll create an SSL for you.
Jingles.. please take care of Misebeam.

Hi John,
I may have said this wrong, I already have made a .ssl file for my SD2, but the problem is it is only 3 Channels in the iCove. I was wondering if someone had a way to access the on-board presets via DMX. Right now all I can do is 3 channels 0-255 RGB, but on the units you can flip Dip switches to access strobe, wash, random... I was wondering how everyone else was able access these functions, or are they just programming the units with just the three “htp” channels. Currently I have to program all colors, chases, and strobes channel by channel. Does that make sense?

Hi misebeam, I understand..
You will still need a profile for it so the SD2 matches the attributes of the fixtures..
So right now you have RGB mode.. this is a 3 ch mode.. and it uses a 3 ch profile.
What you want is RGB+effect mode, you do this by flipping a dip switch and now you a have a 6 ch fixture. so you will need a 6 ch profile to work best.
We can make this for you if you can get us a copy of the exact options you want..it will be in the user manual.
Or you can read the SD2 manual section that shows you how to modify a fixture.. and using the same RGB profile, you have an option to make it 6 channels. This will access the other features you want to use..
but I think getting a profile will be the best solution in the long run.
The quickest solution will be modifying the current fixture to be 6 channels.

Makes complete sense, the only thing is I do not have an idea where to find the switch to make it 6 chan, I looked thru the manual and did not see this. If I could find the switch I can make the .ssl file, I already have one but just for 3 channels that I made.

I have attached the link to the datasheet could you check it out see if this can be done?
