Hi, I'm new here and this is my 1st post looking for help. I've been using SD1 for my Martin SCX500 and I have one issue, when I create Slow movement using " Chase" like BPM 6 to 12 with a fade of 100%, the movements shakes, it's not smoothly moving. wondering what could I be missing or is it a problem with my scanners that It cannot get that smooth movements that we usually see with moving heads. Thanks

I don't believe the DMX could cause it to shake like that. Sounds like an issue with your fixture. Also I know it is martin but I don't believe that the SCX series has as smooth motors in it. Welcome to the forums. Sincerely,

I also have some SCX500's that do that, it's just the way the light it, all 10 of mine do the same thing.

Hi DJ Takla and cmgunn and welcome to the forums. The Martin Mania SCX500 only has 8 bit movement. As such, it will appear jerky the slower the movement is. It is not anything any console can/will fix as it is an internal thing with the fixture itself. 16 bit movement gives a much smoother movement because it has 65,536 different values for pan and tilt vs 256 for pan and tilt with 8 bit mode.
