I am super new to DMX lighting. I have a solo show with full backing tracks run on Sonar 5. I have a Scene Setter 8 running my lights now. I have 4 small par cans, 4 white pin spots, a "rainbow" light, a Dynasty Scan, and 2 Intimidator scans. I tried upgrading to a software controller by Sweetlight. The manual was almost useless and there was an equally useless forum. I returned it got my money back. I am still interested in upgrading to a software based controller. What would you all recommend? It doesn't have to be the be-all-to-end-all type of controller. Just a basic decent package.
I insert midi notes to change the scenes in time to my sequences. Is there a way to use my present controller to fade the pars up and down between scenes without touching the controller? I can do it using the fade time slider but would love to do it via midi.
