I own a DMX operator (not the "pro") which has 12 fixture buttons and 8 regular faders and two additional faders for speed and fade time and eight scene buttons I have four cans and an American DJ T16F chase control. Last year I called an ingenious tech at ADJ and he gave me instructions on how to use the T16F in slave mode with the DMX as a dimmer control. I am ashamed to say I did not write down the instructions but I did use the DMX operator to effectively individually dim or brighten each of my my four cans, which were plugged into the T16F chase, for 3 different video shoots last april. After letting a year go by I can not remember how to do it. I remember entering program mode for fixture 1 and I also recall assigning fader 2 to a very specific number for example 252 or 202 not sure exactly. I also remember hitting the blackout button afterwards. After this programing:.... faders 3,4,5,and 6 controlled the dimming of cans 1,2,3 and 4 perfectly. If anyone knows the specifics of how to do this I would appreciate any help.
