Ok - new to the forum, but came here looking for two things, and this is one of them. Even though this post is a little old, just wanted to say...I'm here at the ATL and would love to see some sort of training offered somewhere, even if it involved a little bit of travel - and maybe even a small fee [winces as he types it].
I'm a worship director for a contemporary church on the outskirts of atlanta, and training for our whole tech team would be truly invaluable, but even I could stand a bit more to learn about the compu environment.

James, I'm here in Temecula CA, and I would kill for some seminars or webimars.. :P I'm a complete rookie.. As in, I don't even have my controller yet, But I am in the process of learning to do lighting with my dad while he does DJing and what-not.. If this may be in the works sometime soon-ish.. Boy would I kill for it! Smiler

Boy... Sorry, This thread is old.. Probably shouldn't have posted.. Sorry!

Sincery,
Nick

Hey everyone!

I've been lurking the forums for awhile and currently work for a production company doing couple big convections a year, and I currently manage the video. I also throw parties here in LA and have been doing the lighting for a couple events, but nothing with dmx, I just made my own LED strips from diy instructions online. And am now looking into the possibilities of learning the lighting/dmx, and do not like what I see with non-pc controllers, to many knobs, faders, and just looks really old to me, and I once came across someone using Compu-Live and was very impressed and lots of ideas came to mind for me. So im VERY interested in a training/seminar and can maybe see if I can gather a couple more people together. But what I can also offer here is I currently have a Tri-Caster Studio in my hands, which is capable of taking 6 camera inputs and 2 computer inputs, in which I then broadcast what im shooting LIVE via the internet. So I can offer to film the seminar with 2-3 cameras and also throw it up on the web for people to view it live! Then I can also hand you a copy of what we film so it can be put up via YouTube or whatever!

Tell me if this sounds good, im very excited to get to know this program!!
I have tons of questions!

Oh btw my name is Ryan!

that's good that your reading the manual. But I'll tell you this. It is a great source of info on how to run things but in the few years I have been using this software I have hardly ever read the manual. LOL Also check out this channel. www.youtube.com/CompuLiveTech that's my compu you tube channel and to see the end result of learning the software look at www.youtube.com/jingles8302 sincerely,
