Hi Stocklude,
It sounds like you need the DMX101 DVD.
It gets you started on how to use DMX lighting.

Its about a 30 minute DVD.
If you can PM me somehow your address, I will get one out to you.

Best regards,

Newbie here too. Can I get a DVD? I just bought two Operator 192 controllers, and am feeling pretty dumb right now. Any reference material that I can look at (online?) to help me get going would be much appreciated. I'm using the Operator 192 units to control ADJ and Chauvet LED light fixtures. Thanks!

I have the manuals that came with the controllers, but they are VERY vague. How do I set up my lights as different fixtures? I have 8 LED light fixtures on my tower that I would like to control. 4 of them as a group (LED par cans), and 4 individually. I worked on assigning DMX channels on the lights today, but everything seems to be controlled by fixture #1. I can't get any of the lights to respond as fixture 2, 3, 4...

Sorry, I don't have any of the IM setups on my computer, so I'll have to give it a try here. The light show consists of 4 Chauvet Color Splash Jr's, 1 ADJ Par64 Pro, 1 ADJ Spectrum, 1 Chauvet Vue II, and 1 Chauvet Vue III. The controller is an Elation DMX Operator 192.

I would like to set up some programs for the par cans, and be able to turn the Spectrum, Vue II, and Vue III on and off, letting them run their own internal program sequences instead of programming every scene. Does this sound possible, practical, feasible?

The setup will (hopefully) be permanently mounted on one crossbar with one power cord and one DMX cable. The 4 mini pars on top, and the 4 big fixtures hanging off the bottom of the bar. 3' DMX cables daisy chaining all of the fixtures together in one string. This should make setup and teardown fast and easy.

Am I dreaming? Thanks!

The whole light show uses a total of 110 watts of electricity! With the CD players, mixer, and powered speakers, total system power requirement is 500 watts. No blown circuit breakers EVER!
