I just got an Elation SD2 with CF memory.
Elation did not install Chauvet profiles.
What is a substitute? Mega Bar LED?
BTW: I have never operated or set up an digital light controller before. I have progressed to setting profiles to the fixtures (already addressed). Thanks, John

Well, 2 things:

1: You're failing to mention what Chauvet fixture you're intending to use. That might help someone direct you to the appropriate profile, if one exists. Or suggesting an alternative.

2: I checked the profiles for Chauvet and they are looking mighty sparse.

3: Regarding Item 2: It appears that there is a SD2 Library Creator. I am not going to investigate this myself, but I think you should definately check it out. This might address your concerns. You definately should become knowledgable on this software for making profiles for that console.

Yeah, sucks to go from NOTHING and having to dive directly into advanced stuff.

Could I talk you into trying out MyDMX? It's an AmericanDJ product... easy to use, probably has the profile made for that Chauvet light already.
