Ya sure if you are going to run the fixture in a channel mode that has nothing but rgb channels like rgb rgb rgb etc no dimmer or chase functions then you could just use the generic rgb profiles. Make sense?

Thank you! but just to make sure, i went into the elation>common>personalities>factory and tried to drop the file named "chauvet.xml". Since there is already a chauvet.xml file in the folder should I rename the one you sent me "colorrail.xml" as not to overwrite my other fixture profiles?
so anyways i tried renaming it chauvetcolorrail.xml and placing it in the user folder instead of factory, i'm not seeing anything in the patch set up once i open the program though. i'm assuming it will show up under chauvet>colorrail, am i wrong?
No. The file I sent is another complete chauvet library with the addition of the color rail profile. So just delete the old one and replace it with the one I sent you. Or find the user folder and put it in there.
