i search a 3d visualization which works under MAC OS X, where i can see what emulation even do.

Sorry for my bad english, because i'm from Germany.

"a 4rd party mac os visualizer is supplied by www.capturesweden.com it connects to emulation through artnet (as soon as dongle is connected)"

if i understand it right i must buy the dongle and the the capture polar find the emulation software...
so i can run both softwares on the same mac or not?

Hey Marc, To use a 3d visualizer software with Emulation you need to turn on art net and you will have to use a 3rd party 3D program. There is no 3D program that comes with Emulation.

Hey folks,

i don´t get it. I downloaded the Capture Polar Version 2.5.1. I started it, plugged in the Elation dongle, chose arntnet. Everything fine...then i opened the preset "club.c2p"and in between in Elation Emulation i did the patch and DMX addresses of this set. In Emulation i said that it should send it trough art net Universe 1.
I think that everything should be fine but nothing happens in the capture polar set when im trying to do something in the programmer from emulation for example.
where´s the mistake?

wait...do i need to install the polar software on a different mac/pc and connect them via ethernet cable to get a connection? because right now i am trying it on the same macbook (polar AND emulation)

I Think you need another computer.

Correction. On my windows machine I was able to run both capture and emulation at the same time and it all responds well. You do need a pretty powerful machine. I am on a quad core processor and a 1GB graphic card and using both depending on the effects your using it maxed out at least two of my cores and probably all of my video memory. Let me know if anyone has any questions. I'll do my best to answer.
