Hello all. I am looking at the stage layout and understand that other scenic elements may be used to enhance our desings. However, I am also wondering about the location and set up of trussing as well. Can it be moved or modified?

Secondly, with a riggers mind and techs mind in the back of my head, I would also like to ask a couple questions.

1)Where are the rig points located?
2)Is the truss Flown or dead hung?
3)What Type of Global Truss is being Used?
4)What are the Dimensions of the existing Trussing for the Stage, FOH, and Circle Truss?

Justin,
No the truss cannot be moved or modified, as we want everyone to be on the same page as far as setup goes. And....

1) rig points are on each corner of the rectangle, four cross points of the circle, and right, center, and left of the FOH.

2)The truss is flown, (11) 1 ton motors

3) 12" Box Truss - 2m (6.56ft) Sections - Global SQ-4112

4) Rectangle is 12m (39.37')x 6m (19.68')Circle is 4m (13.12')in diameter, FOH is 12m (39.37')

One More quick question.

1)What is the actual room dimensions not just the stage performance area.

The stage performance area is great to know for bands and other activities, but for something as a dance or larger activity the whole room becomes the stage performance area.

It appears as though the screen podiums are not quite evenly distributed, is this intentional, unintentional, or am I just crazy?

I suddenly cannot get the visualizer to interface with Compu. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions/similar experiences?

I checked the alignment of the podiums and while they are numerically centered, when you switch to the overhead view, the stage right podium does appear a bit off. Feel free to move that podium left or right slightly. It will not be taken into account one way or another in the judging.

As Far as your connection to the Compu Live Console, in the visualizer, click on the add fixture icon (looks like a moving head) and make sure you are capturing the dmx value from the Console. It should look like this:
