BTW, will it shut itself off or cease fazing if it runs out of fluid? Bad, doesn't matter?

And even if some fog fluid has oil-like stuff in it, can hazer fluid or even mineral oil be run through this thing? Not sure I'd ever want that, considering the residue it leave around my stuff...
