I've been a HUGE fan of Compu-Live for the past 10 8 or 9 years. However, I am at a crossroads. Our business is at the point where we are using 4 Lighting controllers at the same time (multiple separate events.) And I need to decide to continue using Compu-Live or maybe something different. I was wondering if you can provide some advice on which platform you prefer and why?
Im used to Compu-live and we use this program in a Live Event Application most of the time with a minimum of 8x moving head lights. The Moving Head Lights are programmed to be used as Followspots, etc.. I am very familiar with the Editing process and I often go in the backend and edit scenes frequently.
Concerns, we only own PC Laptop Computers for the sole purpose of running Compu-Live. Everything else is run a Macbook Pro. It's kind of a hard decision to purchase more PCs only for 1 application. If we did Purchase more PCs we would probably prefer to buy older PCs running the more reliable Windows XP OS.
