Reply to "Design Spot 250 P Lamp off and fan functions"

Mike,
Good evening, since my post I have tested 3 different fixtures here. One light is a used light which is currently in for repair and I had 2 lights pulled brand new from stock. All 3 lights are working the same. When I lamp off via DMX the lamps and the fans both shutoff and continue to stay off until I send the DMX command to lamp back on in which the lamp strikes and the fan kicks back on. I am not sure exactly why all your fixtures are doing this? In all honesty we have yet to see a fixture react in this manner? Would it be possible for you maybe to take a small video clip of this and possibly forwarding it to me? If so, if you can forward it to my attention to support@elationlighting.com I would like see exactly what is going on your end and to get one of our onsite engineers involved on this issue you are having. We haven't been able to replicate the problem on our end and it isn't out of the norm to have end users or dealers send us video clips of issues they may be experiencing out on the field.

As far as LAMP ON and LAMP OFF that is exactly what it is, a command to turn your lamps on and off from your controller not the whole fixture. The Lighting Guy is correct. What you are referring to is a hibernation mode which will shutdown the fixture down entirely. This feature is not available on the DESIGN SPOT 250 PRO's. As far as the ambient temperature in the office where these lights have been tested on, the temperature is set here at 72 degrees all day (only 2 degrees difference from where you are at). I've also had one of my fixtures running for a couple of hours and I've noticed that the head temperature on the display is barely reaching 98 degrees F. Can you tell me exactly what yours is reading?

Mike we will continue to test out these fixtures here but if it would be possible for you to possibly provide us with a video clip so that I can show my higher ups here that would help out a ton. Like I had mentioned we haven't been able to replicate that problem. We will continue to do our best to resolve your issue....
