MIDI with Magic 260

I'm switching to compu-live and I am wondering how the Magic 260 will function as a midi controller. i also have a scene setter 48 that i would like to use in conjunction with the magic 260.
It would be great if they worked well because I already have both but many people use the APC 40 which is much cheaper anyways. Anything someone can tell me would be greatly appreciated!
