Do you have a fade time programmed with the scene? The colors are probably set to snap after fade so you might be getting a delay. Also, one way to tell if one scene is replacing another the way it should, the old scene LED should turn off when you turn on the new one. If not, there are some residual channels not included with the newer scene so the old one is still partially on.
