If you want the fans on the Roller Scans to stay on, you need to plug them right into power, but NOT via a Dimmer or switcher pack. Plug those INTO the wall or a power strip or extension cord, then use DMX to control those. Otherwise, well, you're gonna damage it. If you're going to plug your DMX fixtures into a dimmer pack, even if switched(on/off only, no variable voltage), you're going to have to wait for it to go through it's typical initialization cycle before you can use them. I agree with CMB. I did the same for a show I did with Cupid (Cupid shuffle, Cu Step, ETC) at a bar in Wi. I didn't even use the arrows I just pointed them all facing the same way which was with one line of truss going across front of stage and one line going across the back of the stage I had all the LCD screens facing backstage that way the audience couldn't see them. but I had to invert the pan and tilt in the page settings for it to match what I had programmed according to the 3D...

Awesome. Thanks so much James. I'll give them a go. If I've already got fixtures programmed in certain patches, i.e. an LED bar taking up 40-51 and I've already got presets made, can I repatch the fixture (i.e. move it to 90-101) without having to reprogram all my looks?

Oke, I posted the XML file in the right place. The fixtures appear in the list so everything is fine. But both fixtures don't seem to respond properly. The Tri-LED fixture can only do white (with main dimmer). When I change the color mix bars, nothing happens. Also when I touch the strobe bar, I can't seem to turn it off again. When set to zero, the fixture still does a very slow strobe. The Quad LED fixture only does Red, and no dimming at all, just on and off. Strobe works but has the same...

thank you for the quick response that's cool So already I'm waiting impatiently for the next version that will fix small imperfecrtions as LTP / HTP and the change of level faders because I also have more controller Midicon Berhinger BCF2000 controller and obviously there is no problem since mechanical faders are then still a little suggestion why not add to the controller Midicon mechanical faders and knobs raccouci Blinder, Strobe, and Fog of BREAK as a little frustrated to see the screen...

You have a traditional dimming controller. you might need to get a better controller to handle the Event bar.

Great question. This inquiry is regarding an install. Currently, the venue has a computer running a program called Enlighten which operates their architectural fixtures. I've been contracted to install intelligent lighting in the bar area and will be using compushow dedicated to the moving heads. They'd prefer not to buy a second computer to run compu, and was hoping to use both platforms on the existing pc.

what mode? there are more than one dmx mode you can run this on. Mega Tri Bar 7 DMX work modes (2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 12 & 54 channel modes) this might be why only part of your fixture is responding and the other part isn't. check to make sure that the software as well as the light are set up for the same mode.

I have that version. And I just double checked. The Mega Bar RGBA and SlimPAR64 are in it but I am still missing profiles for the Blizzard Blade QFX 25 Channel and the American DJ Inno Spot LED 10 Channel.

Yea I'm gonna open it up soon and check things out but it stopped flickering, now the ones that were flickering just stay on all the time even when we turn the lights off. And about half of the light sections on the bar don't even turn on now. It's sort of annoying that our main white amber light crapped out after only 3 years.

Thanks again! I must have missed it! I did notice the elar_ex_tribar profile is not entirely complete. It does display as a bar, but there is no light emitted and the profile under the scene editor is off. Each fixture is actually displayed as 3. Having 34 fixtures displays as 102 in the scene editor. Any way this might be fixed?

you can easily turn the fade tool bar off or turn the fade off for any scene. Have you tried this? It's just a small check box. Post a screenshot?

If I display the fader bar and select a scene, the fader bar graphic shows a fade out and fade in like it always did. Not sure if that is helpful.

Sorry, I don't have any of the IM setups on my computer, so I'll have to give it a try here. The light show consists of 4 Chauvet Color Splash Jr's, 1 ADJ Par64 Pro, 1 ADJ Spectrum, 1 Chauvet Vue II, and 1 Chauvet Vue III. The controller is an Elation DMX Operator 192. ADJ Ultra Bar 12 Profile Available?
We lost the patch originally setup by an individual no longer available. When trying to add a patch, we do not see the ADJ Manufacturer for the Ultra Bar 12. The lights use channels 63, 57, and 75. We are unable to find these in the list. Can this be added to Emulation? Thanks! TBC

i have 4 EVENT BAR. the controlled with ELATION COMPU 2006 in 14-channel mode, the only universe that I have, I'm taking 400 channels with different lights. By using the EVENT BARS, 5 seconds after making the first move are full reset and then work in normal condition, but to make another move, strobe, black out or go home, go back and do the full reset ... ... and try to put in all 3 modes of channels and continue with the problem, anyone can help me with this?

XY grids on multi head moving lights
I just purchased and American DJ Event Bar Pro which has 4 moving heads on 1 fixture and was able to create a profile without any problems. However, when I go into Compu Show with the fixture, none of the pre made XY grids seem to work. This is an issue because I tend to use these grids to create scenes in my shows. It gives me an icon for the first head but there is no cursor to indicate position, and it also gives me a master XY position icon but it does not function as well. I feel pretty...

Level Q7 Profile
I am attempting to use the Level Q7 fixture in EasyView 3D and have some questions about the profile. First, the fixture itself shows up as a flat bar and not as a par can or some other shape. Second, even with the "Show the Light Beam" checked for everything on the master page as well as the fixtures page, there is still no light beam shown on the walls or floors it is pointed towards. 2 x E Spot LED no DMX controller
Want to have both running synchronously in sound to light mode ... the closest I can get is with the master set with address A002 & the other with slave address A001. In this setup when I set the master to run both will move in synch but the light effect are different ... why is this? Shouldn't the slave do exactly as the master?? Could it be that the internal program(s) have been edited in some way? Do I need a terminator for just two units running as master/slave? Help would be greatly...

Elar Quad Bar 10 Channel Mode problem
Hello, new to the site and hoping someone can help. I have an elar quad bar running on 10 channel mode. for some reason the Red and Green does not want to light up. the red and green worked just fine in 8 channel mode.I checked cables by connecting to other quad bars and they work fine. I also killed the power to it in an attempt to reset the light and that didn't work. any ideas guys? im in a HUGE bind at the moment.

Sending / Recieving files
I've noticed there are two ways to send and receive files using Ulink. The first is to open the program bring up the window that asks "Ustick" or "Ulink" and the other way is to simply go to the top menu bar and select send of receive. The second actually shows you data bits transferred. Is there a difference?

Can profiles be programmed wrong and cause memory clearing?
I ask because I started experiencing memory blanking after uploading a new fixture profile set. I'm able to load in an old saved show with an older fixture profile and my issue of losing everything seems to go away. When I try to load in a data show file created with a new fixture profile set and scenes/shows it shows it loading in on status bar but after turning it off and back on nothing is there (no profile data, not scenes, no shows). Flashing Lights
We have an Elation Scene Setter 48 with two Pro Bar 4's with each bar having 6 Par 56 300 watt fixtures. When we light up all 6 the lights go out and start flashing. We can run 3 on each bar with no problem but even 4 will start to flash at high dimmer settings. We have 125' of DMX cable to one bar then another 40' to the second bar and it is terminated there. Two channels on each bar are doubled up with Par 56 fixtures. Is this too much for the Pro Bar 4?
