Hay just had to drop a quick line to everyone who responded so generously to my plea to help our school (Trintiy Catholic Academy) when our stage got flooded. I haven't forgot you all. The story has a happy ending. ETC has donated (14)PAR EA's, (6) S4 15-30 degree Zooms, and (6) S4's with various barrels from their "Orphen Lighting Program". Leds for club worklights
Hi, My club is having serious power issues. One way we're trying to resolve them is to change some of our normal lights to LED's. We need to change our lights that we use for Cleanup & "LAst CALL" ; Currently we're using track lighting in the center of the room with about 20 150 watt incandescent spots. Can you identify this fixture?
Worked with a house rig recently. Couldn't identify one set of fixtures. The house LD said they were DS 575. He was running them off LightFactory or something and the personality he was using only had 16 channels. I didn't get a chance to run the lift up and figure out what they were but my personality for a DS 575 has 24 channels. I don't know much about them, except that Channels 1 - 4 are pan and tilt. 5 is the color wheel 6 is a gobo wheel 7 is gobo rotation 8 is the other gobo wheel 9...

All, Can anybody share a profile for the Kinta X. There is a Kinta within Compulive, but it is only one channel. Scene Setter 24 and Optima Dimmer Packs
Hello, I have done multiple searches on this website and the internet to try to find some answers, but cannot find anything. So, if this a repeated question I am sorry. I have a simple set up, 14 par cans, and a American DJ mega flash strobe. I am learning the software, have made a couble switches to turn on just certain pars using the grouping feature and made a scene as you see it and such. HZ-500 Mini Review
So, we got in a HZ-500 couple weeks ago now. For its first show, it ran for Monday for about 7 hours, Tuesday for about 12 hours, Wednesday for about 12 hours, Thursday for about 6 hours, and Saturday for about 14 hours without a single hiccup. Any info or real world experience with these fixtures? I have a church that wants LED lighting featuring 3 or 4 diff. areas of their stage. Drop ceiling. 12-14' from floor to ceiling if I had to guess. Have around 10-12k$ to work with. Pastor wants theater style lights but doesn't want it to look like a line of cannons lined up to fire at the stage. So looking recessed for stage with a handful of moving heads out front. General uplighting for sanctuary - suggestions?

DMX Operator controlled by MIDI
I just purchased the DMX Operator and had 15X8 scenes programmed that night. Very cool & very easy. Kudos for your ease of use as I've never touched a DMX controller before. However, I am more familiar with MIDI and got the unit so I could program scenes in my midi files and play the scenes when I do my solo act. The documentation was good. I set the midi channel on the DMX to 14 (15 is my effects unit and 16 is my back-up vocal unit), I mapped out the notes (C0 = 101, Db0 = 102, etc.).

Problems with compu 2006 with 1024EC
I am having issues with my system and I need help. I have compu live 2006 with the 1024EC controlling a Leviton DDS 9800 dimmer pack and 14 AM DJ Par 56 LEDs. It has been worked great for about two months but suddenly all of my light are randomly flickering. This is very random, sometimes within seconds and sometimes within hours. It works fine when in stand alone mode. I only have the problem when in PC mode. The 800 number for tech support goes directly to a fax machine. I cant get anyone...

Compu Live Fixture Grouping Problem
I have 14 of the same fixture (ADJ Flat Par Tri 18's) that I patched at the same time (all independently addressed). When I separated them into fixture groups I had separate group control over the On/Off but not the color mixing. Am I barking up the wrong tree here? I'd like to be able to separate them into zones (Drums/Stage L/Stage R..etc) and have complete quick access autonomous control over them. Thanks, Brian Savage

Issues with programming CueLists in PC software
Been running into problems while attempting to save Cues in a Cuelist. I was running Emulation PC version 14 on a laptop running Windows 7. Here's the problem: Seems that previously saved Cues are getting modified/currupted during the saving process of another cue in the cuelist. problems with chauvet mini
Hi guys, I just install 4 Chauvet Mini spot and I am having some problems with the programming. I used my scan library to set up the fixtures but noticed that compuware does not have the 6/14channels model listed...instead they have the 5/13 channel. Could this be the reason for the problems I am experiencing. The lights responds only to the color change and movements, but not to the gobo change. Is there a profile I could download for the 6/14 channel Chauvet mini?

Q-Spot 260 (Advanced) changes color/gobo when changing movement
We have 8 Chauvet Q-spot 260s that we run in advanced mode (14 channels) through the compu live software. For some reason every time we change the movement of the moving heads the gobo opens and the color changes back to white. Is that a fault in the software? If so, is it fixable? Or may it be a fault in the fixture themselves? Any help would be appreciated!

Controller Advice
I am a parent volunteer for our local Middle School (11 to 14 years) here in the US. I have been learning as I go, so forgive my awkward descriptions. Elation event bar 4 pin spots
How to control Elation event bar with DMX controller. my DMX controller has 8 sliders, a/b so total of 16 slider channels. Event bar can be set to 12, 14 and 25 channel mode. I can operate pan, tilt and dimming with DMX operator. How do I operate operate show modes and strobe? 25 channel mode allows show mode and strobe mode to be controlled via dmx. I found used DMX controller with 24 slider channels. Is this what I need? Thank you!

I have worked with thdmx operator pro and assigned 3 sets of led lights on addressed at 1, 17, 33 even though they each only use 7address. Hi there! I was thinking when you will publish the new emulation versions online. Cuelux had already published 1.03 build 8 and I've tried it. It has very new improvements. My midicon is working great with this new version by not with the emulation 1.02 build 14. Do you have a new midicon midimap with wheels improvements?! Hey, thanks for the welcome and for the answer, but I'm wondering if you can delete a step without having to save the program. Page 14 tells you how to delete a step after entering them all and saving the program. What if you make a boo boo and know it right away and want to just delete the last step you entered? Can you do that? I mean, if you've got 200 steps you're entering into one program, and on step 54 you incorrectly put in the wrong step, you have to finish entering the other 146...

I have Compu live 2006 running great on my Amd Turion 64 x2 laptop. If you are going to run the program on the 64 x2 platform with vista home premium edition you really need to have at least 1gb. of memory. I have 1.5gb memory in mine I am controlling 14 lights at one time 10 omega 250c color changers and 4 American Djspot 250. They all run great onn my vista laptop with Home Premium. I hope this information will be helpfull.

The pan/tilt speed settings in the construction mode, only affect what you see on the screen, not the actual fixtures. The only thing that would affect the speed of the lights, is A- The fade time on the console or software, B- The Pan/Tilt Speed channel of the fixture(channel 14 on the Power Spot 250). If you have them all on the same fade, check the Pan/Tilt speed. If they are all set the same, and you still have 2 fixtures running faster than the others, use your speed channel on the...

Hi David, I am in a tribute band, and had the same question, what I came up with was pages will not work, unless all fixtures are on the pages...(which is hard and from what I can see can’t happen due to DMX addresses). So what I did is on the master page, I click edit, and click on "Compression”( either a scene or switch) and make short names for each of the songs like "1ofdays" for “one of these days”, and so on. Hmmm, that is odd. Channel 14 is only suppose to control movement speed and have no effect on shutter speed. Shutter speed should only be controlled by channel 9 in 14 channel mode. Maybe an error in the fixture profile some where? It might also be an older revision of the software on the fixtures as well. Current is 1.53.
