Yes, Any info on how to use the Bahringer would be awesome. I would love to use the mixer to my advantage, especially in a live show atmosphere... The faders are moving along with the digital faders when I open that window, but nothing is happening with the lights when I move the faders... Thanks for the quick responce D

I have some answers to questions you asked, a few new questions, and we will see from there. I have been able to use the compu some more with less problems, but more on that. I will email you crash reports after this post. For my fixture pages, everything is grouped in like lights, I have my design...

Re: Fade out a switch (Or another option)

bradbrown ·
I was afraid of that. It just seems strange that CompuLive has the functionality to fade into an easy step switch, but no way to fade back out. Unfortunately, I can't just create two scenes. I'd have to create two versions of every scene. I think that would make the interface window too cluttered and confusing for the operators. I did figure out a way to create a slider that would fade the desired lights to and from pure white. Unfortunately "pure" white from these RGB fixtures looks...

If you adjust the X and Y parameters in the page settings then you are adjusting the pan and tilt globally for moving heads on that page. So there would be no way in the scene edit window with the EFX generator to make them larger as the software is telling the pan and tilt "Nope, we can't go that far" Make sense? You can undo this by going back into the page settings and re adjusting the parameters. Let me know if this helps Jerry. Sincerely,

Well you can set up a midi trigger to start a scene edit window. Just assign your trigger to say a button on your midi console and all you do is click on the button you wish to edit then hit that midi button and it will open the scene edit window for the last selected button. There is a midi tab in the scene editor rack however I do not think that is what you are asking. Still a newb to midi myself. Sincerely,

Setting up the korg was fine. All I did was made sure it had it's default settings loaded. Then I loaded the midi map for it on the software and it was working. The faders are not motorized. But that doesn't make much of a difference if any. So assign any scene or switch to a midi button or fader simply click on the scene or switch the hold shift then right click the scene. Now a small menu will appear and at the bottom a option to link to midi controller will be there. Click on that link to...

Hold any of these keys for about 5 seconds or so releases the button. I hope this helps. I Will try to find out more. Sincerely,

Re: help with building a matrix

Jingles8302 ·
In compu show it is a little different. you patch your leds normally and then in the scene editor or switch editor you have to create a "Rect". But first organize your led positions using the fixture group window. You can highlight all your leds and then use the positions wizard to arrange them in a matrix. once you do that then create a new scene or switch and click ok+Edit. now if you notice in the fixtures window there are two tabs. one is called fixtures and one is called groups rect.

Re: Scene issue?

There must be something else going on then. The button number is only an index to the scene and does not affect timing. Most of the time these issues are due to scene content. If you run the SD monitor software there is a window to view the content of a scene, this can be helpful at times.

Hi strange. 1) If you are familiar with compu live then you are familiar with cycles. A cycle is like a stack list or a cue list. say you created 20 scenes, but didn't want all of them to play and wanted them to play in a set order and time. If you create a cycle and select your scenes in the order you want then you can play them back based on a set time or duration of each scene or you can have all of them or some of them trigger as a "GO" function. In the buttons tab click cycle and once...

Re: Addressing Dimmers

The single channel dimmer might auto patch to an address that is free. So just go to the patch list window (usually click "patch" one or twice) and then double click the address and re assign it.
