There is a way to do fade/no fade using the Midi controller. You can either do it with the virtual controller on the screen, or have an external one. Unfortunately you cannot use a single button to turn the fade on and off with the virtual board, you will have to use 2 buttons, or one of the faders on the board. Every color is coming up green, and I've tried using High End Trackspots v1 and high def profiles and am having the same problem. OK Here goes. As of the last beta of CompuShow I tested, the profile editor still did not allow for a fixture to have multiple R, G, or B slots. Therefor, you can patch a matrix with the full profile but the effects will only work for pixel 1. (Very few console manufacturers have this capability built in to their consoles as of yet.) Build a Matrix of 3 Channel RGB Units. It can be handy to open a 3 channel LED fixture profile in the PROFILE EDITOR and name it Pixel and save it as Pixel.

@billyboy, let me jump in. The DP-415 has dip switches based on the binary code standard. This means that each dip switch is double the value of the one before it. If you look at the image attached (DP-415 Dip Switch. will see the 10 dip switches and above it the values that each creates. eNode 4 pre-sales support questions
I'm considering the purchase of an eNode 4 ArtNet-to-DMX output device. I have some questions. 1. There doesn't appear to be any firmware download available under the Support / Downloads link on the Elation home page. Why is that? 2. I found an article in the forum that referenced a firmware updater appliance (hardware product). Does the eNode 4 indeed require a specialized appliance to perform firmware updates? If not, where are the alternate instructions and firmware update files located?

Easy View 3D: Meters vs. Feet
Ok, I've tried changing the Stage Settings units from meters to feet, which seems to work fine but only for the stage itself. Any objects I try adding still seem to be represented in meters. Intermittent error 05, 06 & 07 DS 250
I keep getting intermittent error. When I brings the lights home, I get no error but at the show the fixture gives me 05, 06 & 07 error, I transport in the elation ATA dual case. I don't want to ship it n, because that alone is $100 round trip from Georgia, Also I have owner 6 of these fixture and error 5, 6 & 7 are the only errors I get ever get.

Hi there, I´ve an old work horse, Showdesigner Rev 1.08 and are looking for some solutions and updates. I´ve downloaded SD Backup v.1.1 and shds214.txt. I soldered a nullmodemcable and i managed to create a memory dump from SD to the PC, but when I´m trying to send the shds.tex file to the SD i recieve a error in the display. A silly question about polarity on a Show Designer 1.
Dear Friends, I am attempting to integrate a July 05 version of the Show Designer One to work with (4) Martin 812 Roboscans (Vector Mode/7 Chn). The manual indicates that I need a polarity reversing cable to use a non-Martin controller with the Roboscans. Trackspot profiles
Is there an updated profile for High End's Trackspots? V1 somewhat works, but V2 does not. (I use the 2006 version of Compuware with the blue interface). With the V1 profile, the Color and Gobo features are all screwed up. For example, Gobo #2, 3, 4, and 5 are all color scrolls, albeit different speeds. Same deal with Color. There's also about 6 or 7 different strobes--which turns out to be different flash rates. Why not just use a single strobe icon with an adjustment slider?

I got 2 of the same compact (CF) card to use with my SD3.. i have version 1.15 M3 this console is new. just installed here at our club in May, 2011 one card worked great when I formatted the card in just FAT, the other CF card was formatted the exact way but when inserted into my SD3 console it gives me a: CF #05 error CF format error both cards are 2 gig microcenter CF cards

Three errors on a design spot 250
I had my wife buy this unit down in Florida and it had three error messages: 05, 06 & 07. Each error could have multiple causes. EG, error coder 05 "This message will appear after a fixture reset if the color wheel’s magneticindexing circuit malfunctions (sensor failed or magnet is missing) or there is a stepper motor failure (defective motor or a defective motor IC drive on the main PCB)." How do I isolate what the cause is for each? Thanks for your help.

Just received our order of the new Design Brick 70 II. The DMX modes in the manual don't match the modes on the fixture. Through trial and error I've figured out: Color control - 5 CH MODE (DEFAULT) Color prog - 8 CH MODE Color_Saturation Hue Intensity CT - 4 CH MODE Color prog. Hue Saturation CT - 11 CH MODE Group Control - 35 CH MODE My questions, What is Pixel Grouping, and how does it work? Design Spot 250 multiple errors
One of my original design spot 250's will run fine for a few minutes then starts having issues. It appears that the first thing to crap out is the shutter then everything but the pan and tilt. I can reset the fixture and everything will function again but only for a few minutes before the same errors occur. Eventually resetting the fixture does nothing and i get the following errors: 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 13. Any suggestions?

Design Spot 250 error
Hi, I am getting error 05, 06 & 07. Also during the channel test, nothing happens for channels 7 (gobo retation), channel 15 (scan speed) and channel 16 (Auto Program). For Channel 2 (pan high resolution) it only moves about 2 degrees and then resets and repeats. Same with Channel 4 (Tilt high resolution). What could be causing these error? IS it something I can fix myself? I have two other units I could borrow parts from to try and fix. Thanks for your help!

Lol. I'll give you a hint on my aim screen name jingles, you have seen it before. Problem is, you can see and/or talk to me unless your on my buddy list. 21 here. I have been doing lighting professionally since sophomore year in high school, so about 5 years now. Started the 'big gigs' when I graduated in '05. One thing I have going for me is I look and act like a 30 year old, so no one questions me unless they find out my age.

You would be surprised then Esteban. I worked on Live 8 in Philly in the summer of '05. 80 Mac 2ks in the air, which was pointless because it was during the day. Unless they were all doing the same thing, you couldn't tell they were there. Anyway, we had a major storm blow through before the show, so bad that it wrecked a Stage Line at Campbell's Field across the river in Camden and canceled that show. We took down all 80 Mac 2ks and flipped them over and water literally poured out of them.

thanks for the reply that's pretty much the direction I've been heading, as far as grouping compressed buttons for a song; there has to be an intent from Elation when this was designed, as far as how to group scene/switch for songs; James, do you know this??? as to the ordering, it goes a character at a time, so everything with a '1' in the first character get's grouped, then everything with a '2', and so forth; then the second character comes into play, so '1' then '10' then '11' etc to get...
