Re: Global Edit of Values for One Light + Right Click to Fade

ebaclights ·
There is a way to do fade/no fade using the Midi controller. You can either do it with the virtual controller on the screen, or have an external one. Unfortunately you cannot use a single button to turn the fade on and off with the virtual board, you will have to use 2 buttons, or one of the faders on the board. You can use one button for On/off using the external board because it will latch when you press the button. To set this up... 1. launch the midi controller on the screen. 2. If you...

Thanks Jingles, You're a big help. I may take you up on those lessons. But I'll take a look at youre videos. They are quite interesting. They are great references for me. But in addition to that, Is it actually possible to make a "4D" room. i.e. A gym with a gable ceiling. Not like a cube room with a 'flat' ceiling. I think my church's gym would be a good starting point for me. Because it's a about a good 54'x75' foot room with a gable-shaped ceiling, Perfectly large for like a local...

Hey James, hope your holiday was good! Got to work a bit with the viz over break and everything is working well except for the colors on some the fixtures that i added in. Every color is coming up green, and I've tried using High End Trackspots v1 and high def profiles and am having the same problem. Not that it worries me with the viz, but im more concerned that i have the right profile foe the fixtures at the venue. Is this just a glitch or do you think I may have a problem? Thanks in...

Re: deciding what to go with the sd3

Hi NewEarth, SD Man replied this. Posted 24 January 2011 02:16 PM Hide Post The monitor software uses mouse control. I don't know if you can just duplicate a mouse with a touch screen. If the touch screen says it will work with any software and make it think the command is coming from a mouse then it will probably work. This is the extent of what you can do with SD3 and its monitor software. Compu is a different control system. you use Compu or SD3 but not both. they don't integrate. If you...

Re: help with building a matrix

wheresjc ·
OK Here goes. As of the last beta of CompuShow I tested, the profile editor still did not allow for a fixture to have multiple R, G, or B slots. Therefor, you can patch a matrix with the full profile but the effects will only work for pixel 1. (Very few console manufacturers have this capability built in to their consoles as of yet.) Build a Matrix of 3 Channel RGB Units. It can be handy to open a 3 channel LED fixture profile in the PROFILE EDITOR and name it Pixel and save it as Pixel.

I was wondering if there is something I could do or if you guys know anyway to clear them or fix them. Thanks, Kevin

Compu Live: What is the proper name?

soundstormnl ·
In the manual it is called Compu Live. In the product page of the website it is called Compu 1024EC, Compu 2048FC, Compu 2048FC+. At various internet stores it's been called Compu 02, 04 and 06, and Compu Club and Compu Pro. And I've seen references in this forum to Compu Pro 06 and Compuware and multiple variations of that. What is the proper name(s) and what are the differences? Thanks!!

Trackspot profiles

italiatib2k3 ·
Is there an updated profile for High End's Trackspots? V1 somewhat works, but V2 does not. (I use the 2006 version of Compuware with the blue interface). With the V1 profile, the Color and Gobo features are all screwed up. For example, Gobo #2, 3, 4, and 5 are all color scrolls, albeit different speeds. Same deal with Color. There's also about 6 or 7 different strobes--which turns out to be different flash rates. Why not just use a single strobe icon with an adjustment slider?

Design Brick 70 II

Just received our order of the new Design Brick 70 II. The DMX modes in the manual don't match the modes on the fixture. Through trial and error I've figured out: Color control - 5 CH MODE (DEFAULT) Color prog - 8 CH MODE Color_Saturation Hue Intensity CT - 4 CH MODE Color prog. Hue Saturation CT - 11 CH MODE Group Control - 35 CH MODE My questions, What is Pixel Grouping, and how does it work? I have a remote that we bought with our Design Bricks v1, will they work with the II (v2)? Thanks

Problems with SD1

Elation Professionals ... having problems with SD1. I recently upgraded (I think) to an SD1 from a DMX Operator Pro and am having some issues here. Every time I try to update, I get an Error 02 message that says something about repower and retry, which, of course, I have done many times. This comes on immediately after pressing "send file". Here's my $.02 : There's no doubt there are better 250W moving heads, but they are going to cost a lot more. For example, the Robe ColorSpot 250 AT is really good. It has a tad bit more light output, quieter, but cost almost TWICE as much. The Martin MAC250 Entour is a better 250W fixture, but a new one will cost you $3,000.00. A better match in price is the Pearl River Pilot 250. This has another gobo wheel. I have never seen Pearl River lights. This light has a little less light output...

Re: External MIDI Trigger for BMP Rate

Matchless.. see if you can wrap your head around this. 1. create scenes or switches with 1 color each 2. create cycle with each of the colors 3. change the time for each scene/switch to GO inside the cycle 4. now when you click PAGE-DOWN on your keyboard, you control the timing of the cycle 5. to assign this PAGE-DOWN control to MIDI, open the CONSOLE window 6. right-click on the MIDI controller button that you want to use (any button will work) 7. you will see a blank area with 4 icons to...

thanks for the reply that's pretty much the direction I've been heading, as far as grouping compressed buttons for a song; there has to be an intent from Elation when this was designed, as far as how to group scene/switch for songs; James, do you know this??? as to the ordering, it goes a character at a time, so everything with a '1' in the first character get's grouped, then everything with a '2', and so forth; then the second character comes into play, so '1' then '10' then '11' etc to get...

Re: Various questions (SD2)

sdman ·
I'm happy to see someone is using the monitor software. I have received 0 feedback over the years it's been out there so I assumed hardly anyone used it. It might be possible for me to modify the colors, I will have to look into that. For the MIDI commands, the CC messages now being used I think are much easier to enter than sysex. Just enter these three bytes: B0, page-1, scene-1. So for scene 3 on page 3 the CC message would be B0 02 02.
