Here is an answer to the "random" shuffling of controls!
This time, I'm not asking yet another question but rather I'd like to answer one. At least I think this is how the Magic 260 software works, but of course I found no documentation concerning this. It seems that the fixture profile that you are not using does not have the Macro functions written into the profile. You can either re write the profile using scan library editor, or let jingles make it better for you.. Best regards,

John, I have tried to make my own .txt file profile for the ELED Tri 64b. I am using Chauvet Showexpress and i would like to use all the features in the 7 channel profile, but so far i can get the color macro, strobe or mode channels (4,5,6) to work. Is there a ready made profile.txt that you could send me to add into the software or let me know the code i need to use to make my own profile. I have looked everywhere and havent been able to find one. Thanks Kevin

When you create a profile for showxpress, it basicaly creates a .txt file that gets stored into the program folder. It looks kinda like code. I attached a sample file of what it looks like (or should look like). Let me know if you can help. thanks Kevin

Try setting your shutter channel default to 255 on your profile. Without shutter open no color channel except macro colors will work.

Yes think of it as a regular moving light...many of our LED moving head fixtures have this function also some of our LED pars with macro / strobe channels do as well so you need to keep this in mind when creating fixture profiles.

1: Sure. Wash in 1 color is no problem. Slow wash to another color MIGHT be an issue. You'd want to probably go into a macro mode with a slow change between colors. Or, set up different scenes to make chases, then set your fade time to something super slow. Set Scene 1 for Target color 1, set scene 2 for Target Color 2. Repeat as necessary. Program your chase, go on a timer basis, use a SLOW fade time. Then you can walk away for a while. I think chases will repeat. You'll want to document...

OK. I think I understand your situation and question. Like all controllers the DMX Operator has some quirks you will have to work with. It is an ideal controller to do what you had been doing - using a dimmer pack on up to eight incandecent par cans. For what you want to do now, it is not that great. The DMX O uses the first 128 channels to control moving lights. It give you only 8 possible DMX addresses [129 - 136] for the par cans. With LEDs you will need at least 4 channels to control...

What channel mode are you using for the ADJ LED par's? Because if they are in 6 or 7 channel mode they have a dimmer function and that needs to be on in the channels. Also the 3D would show color where there really is non. Not sure if your using the 3D or not. but it can be a issue with some people. Also if you have the color macro channel anywhere above DMX value 8 it will override your RGB mixing control. Hope this helps you figure it out. If anything try putting one of the LED pars in 3...

And these are led fixtures? correct me if i am wrong but let me guess you are using the color macro channel and are trying to fade just those colors? Well if so you cannot fade a color macro channel. you will have to just simply generate a Rainbow on your RGB channels and let that play. Let me know how I did at guessing. Sincerely,

Heres what I did. 1.I deleted the 7 channel page. 2.I installed the 4 AMDJ PAR38 LEDPROs using the 3channel mode. 3.It did not work. What i mean by that is,when i tried to make a new scene with the page edit. IT did not work. 4. Now, I am not 100% sure how the SD3 works and its command hierarchy so I apologize if this is wrong, but some ideas I can think of. If I remember correctly, the SD3 can run more then one Playback at a time. If that is the case, simply create a Playback in which the lights you need are focused where they need to be. It s closer. The movement macros are not working properly. Nothing seems to resemble a "heart" or "square" and no control with the mouse. The Blackout and first color (red icon) do nothing. The Green icon turns on Blue, the Blue icon turns on green, the Red/Green turns on Red. 1st color macro is Blue/Green, 2nd is red/blue, and the one marked COL 1 is red/green. No Red/Blue/Green. Also the beam flickers all the time. Anything?

I think the macro's being off has to do with the profile creator. It is designed for the newer programs but allows us to save profiles for the older programs. Compu Live might not have all the right color icons to match the macro's and there might be slight differences in output since the colors are mixed on a LCD display on the computer screens versus the individual RGBW LED's on the unit. If you post a screen shot of the color macro;s not matching that may help. I have no idea why the one...

Greetings unfortunately this is a very old unit and literature is no longer available. I would look at the toroidal transformer, im willing to bet its shorting out. FYI we no longer have parts available as well.

Seems to be a bit of a profile bug or error. The first color temp macro on channel 3 somehow was specified as the default preset which is directly linked to the ON and any preset switches that show up in the program. I can fix this and upload it and you can replace it on yours and I am hopeful haha that if you simply try the re-generate pre-programmed switches function it should re generate the "ON" and not cause it to do that anymore. download this:...

I got no light at all. I had to go to either the Custom or Misc button, don't remember which and use a different fader to control the intensity, couldn't get the zoom to work at all. I did manage to resolve the format error on the SCX700 myself, I had used macro twice, and clearly the editor didn't like that. I managed to load in the file tonight. I first cleared the memory of the controller. Then put the master fader up to 255 (read this on another post), and then tried loading in a fixture file from the PC. please set address and mode identical to another fixture with proper output. if the output still isnt as bright then please perform a "hard reset" via the menu go to FUNCTION>RESET DEFAULT> ARROW UP TO ON AND HIT ENTER: The unit will default to address. Please set your mode and address and retest. if not successful then please contact support at elationlighting.com we will most likely need to bring this unit back for repair.
