MBT Welcome to the forums. You can still use easy show but instead of live triggering it. save it as a cycle on the master page. and then once the cycle is created you can then simply play it back however the audio wont be a part of the cycle. But there is another work around for that if you intrested. let me know. Hope this make sense. Sincerely,

i do not believe you can trigger a cycle within a cycle. Perhaps maybe two different cycles from two different fixture pages. but not from the master. I'll Look into this further and report back to you. Good to see you again matchless! Sincerely,

So the magic here is the ability to trigger the Red, Green, Blue steps via MIDI? Yes, but the Song Cycles must be controlled manually. So is it possible to assign MIDI to some cycles, but not others? Are your Song Cycles in the same page of your light? If so try and create a blank page. Name this page Song Cycles. Here you will store all your cycle for your songs only. I did this. On the light page you will have your "RGB Repeat" Trigger cycle and all your scenes. When you say "light page",...

If this is not possible, then I'll have to find another way to do what I need to do. I suppose I could create a new Page for each song. Each Page would only have the Scenes, Switches, and Cycles I plan to use for that song. It would be a lot of pages, but oh well. The hardest part about making this happen is getting certain Scenes, Switches, and Cycles from my MASTER page to each SONG page. Is there any way to copy and past a Scene from one page to another? Thanks, Brian

Ok, so using separate Pages for each song, seems to be working quite nicely. This is definitely the way to go, instead of using Cycles. There are still 2 things I'm having a little trouble with: 1. I can copy Scenes and Switches from the Master page to each Song page by using the "Duplicate" function. This greatly reduces the time it takes to build each song. What's strange though is that when using this command ("Duplicate") for Cycles, it creates the duplicate in the Master page, even when...

This greatly reduces the time it takes to build each song. What's strange though is that when using this command ("Duplicate") for Cycles, it creates the duplicate in the Master page, even when I select the applicable Song page. I find it interesting how you have you master scenes on the JohnnyB good Chorus 1 cycle. seems to work. But i'm not liking all your pages with songs..hard to handle page, johnny b good page, yellow ledbetter page.. you should only have your fixtures pages, your master of course.. and 1 blank page to hold music. In this blank page you will have Johnny b good cycle, hard to handle cycle and yellow ledbetter cycle. All the music. page up page down only changes scenes when they are in a cycle.

Re: Question about the Master Page.

Jingles8302 ·
MD once again i apologize for the delay. The difference between a fixture page and a master page is this: fixture page is the page that allows you to only control those assigned fixtures within that page. The master page lets you control all the channels you have assigned in your compu set up. so it lets you use all the channels at once rather than going from page to page creating a bunch of scenes when you could just as easily create one scene with ALL your fixtures. make sense? 1) I am not...

Bob, yes patience in this industry is a virtue. it really is. Everything takes time. it took me about a good year to fully understand how this software works. The thing about programming scenes is whatever page is active last when you hit the new scene button it will save that pages data to a scene on that page. unless the master was selected then it takes all the pages data and saves it as a master scene in the master page. make sense? give it time and i bet you one day you will be making...

Just a few thoughts. I have 2 of these spots and they don't give me any problems, and I use them with the ADJ Software: MyDMX. First, this light has two operational modes: MANUAL(where you run it yourself) and DMX. Ensure you're in the right mode. That's your first step. MANUAL operation means that besides moving it on your own MANUALLY, you are also operating the dimming and colors on your own. That is manual operation. I think you're referring to "DMX Operation", but you want to bring up...

Make sure all your fixture pges are linked to master page by going to your Pages Tab and making sure the "Crown" icon is present next to all of your fixture pages. James, Thanks for checking into this. One clarification from your post "multiple pages with the same fixture in use". I am not exactly sure what this means. In my .ssh file, each page reflects a unique par can. Each page controls separate and distinct DMX channels from all other pages. No par can is governed by two pages, excepting the master page. Interestingly, I deleted the offending page "White Stage" DMX channels 10-21 and recreated it. This did not solve the mysterious problem. I...

Sorry for the confusion I added to the thread. I wasn't aware of this Pro Bar. This unit does have a regular midi input and a thru output (what comes in the in will be rebroadcasted out to another midi device if you want). You won't need any special hardware. It will respond to either DMX signals or midi note signals, but apparently not both at the same time - you've got to choose. On each of four separate channels the unit will do something when it recives a midi note on that channel...

Hi Lazer, Welcome to forums. The 3 is really worth the extra $1000.00.. keep in mind that both the 2 and 3 are 48 fixture consoles.. that being said the 3rd universe works as an extra output when needing some diversity.. but it can also be used to patch conventional dimmer channels. The 3 gives you master fader, and Stop and Back buttons for your cue lists. The Playback faders is really needed for layering and multi scene effects which you do not have on the 2. on the 3 the encoder wheels...

Hobson, Although my posting is a bit confusing, the bottom line is Yes I WOULD need a Magic260 to double my scene capability. On the Operator Pro, I wanted to use steps 1-24 (of one show) for the first song. Then be able to jump to steps 25-50 (of a different show) for another song; as they are not always played in squence. As that I can not jump directly to a specific step, in a specific show (on either the Operator Pro or Magic 260) I must resort to a Magic 260 which will allow me to...

Jim, In the magic 260 software provided with the unit you specify the number of channels a fixture uses and then specify what each channel does. You can also specify which channels will be affected by the master dimmer. You save that profile and then load it into the Magic 260. The master dimmer will affect only the dimmer function of all of your fixtures. I was going on your statement: "I have downloaded the ADJ profiles and even installed that to the controller successfully." If you have done this, then use the profiles installed (not the x channel profiles). This is because the x channel profiles don't tell you what each of the knobs control. I'm a little surprised that you can get them all to turn on and turn off. How are you doing that? Are you just using the master fader? Please note that each fixture has it's own set of channel...
