Re: help with building a matrix
OK Here goes. As of the last beta of CompuShow I tested, the profile editor still did not allow for a fixture to have multiple R, G, or B slots. Therefor, you can patch a matrix with the full profile but the effects will only work for pixel 1. (Very few console manufacturers have this capability built in to their consoles as of yet.) Build a Matrix of 3 Channel RGB Units. It can be handy to open a 3 channel LED fixture profile in the PROFILE EDITOR and name it Pixel and save it as Pixel.

Hello, To reset the record code for the Scene Setter, you must hold down RECORD, EDIT and the HOLD button. As you are holding these buttons down, tap these button in this sequence, 5, 10, 15, and 20. This should reset the password.

Re: design spot 250 overheating stepper motors?
i changed the shutter motor and now after about 15 min evey channel related to the pcb, ie shutter, color, gobo rotation, just stops responding, is the other pcb possiably bad too?

the errors are gone, it was a sensor issue, the unit opperates fine and the shutter works, but the pcb goes dead after about 15 min, you lose everthing on the top pcb, This is the same thing that the first board with the popped cap was doing and i changed it to one that was as far as i know was fine. Now the shutter, gobo, color, ect, just seam to quit. The heat sinks on the pcb seam to be realy hot, not sure how hot they should be

I use the first one in the row at a starting point in a song title. It lets me know what song I am about to pull up. If you have the master down you can use it to make sure you start on the correct scene instead of guessing or writing it down. I use abort 15 to 20 scenes per song and the band plays them in a different order every night. No set list, so I can call up a song before it starts. My shows are also done manually not programed or timed as a song because they may play it different...

You've got some creative and good approaches to handling you show. Naming something would be important. Assuming you are talking about a M260 a way to solve your problem is to make a Show for every Scene [a Show can consist of only one Scene]. You would need to name the Show only once and could change the Scene(s) of that Show all you want and the name of the Show would stay the same. ok in order: 1) Yes in fact most if not all of the current profiles have been updated to the new profile .ssl2 file type and are already in there. It is very easy to import. 2) Yes it can. Re: Lamp on using the DMX Operator Pro
Here is what I found out about the light off. I set on fixture to lamp on and one to lamp off. That appears to mean that when I start up the lights, one will have the lamp on and the other the lamp off. Upon setting the numbers you shared and in the back of the manual, both light went off after 15 second, and came on, in a minute or two. The problem is that it seems that I need to reset the shutter and dimmer when I turn the lamp off, but I need to check this out. Thanks, now to a new post...

I bought a Anvil turntable case from Guitar Center and some rails. Made some angle brackets with some 3/8 plywood and mounted the rails to the plywood. Its kind of like a Mixer in a DJ case. Fits My 2 boards perfectly. I am very happy with it If you want I can email you a Picture. Case $100 Rails $15 Saving my Gear from damage Priceless!

Re: Dongle not working?
Yea, that's happened to me about 10-15 times. Sometimes the dongle will come back on by unplugging and plugging back in the usb cable anywhere from 5 to 500 times, and sometimes you won't. I've gotten them to replace a few of them but its happened to nearly every white dongle I've purchased. Surprisingly, the much cheaper compu cue basic dongle (that still works for compu show) has yet to do this to me.

I would say it is an output issue. Check to make sure the air intake in the back isn't block by anything. Also make sure to wait to turn it on after you fill it up with fluid. It takes a while for it to get through the sponge. You should also be able to sneak a DMX and a power cable through the slot in the lid, I have on many occasions. This video was shot about an hour after turning on a HZ-500 which is sitting just off down stage right behind the arch. Stage is 48' wide, 15' high, and 20'...

I'm a fairly new user of these... If the display shows HOT does it indicate if that's the base or head temp? Also, what is the Lamp Off at Temp setting? If the actual head temp is at or higher than that the lamp will turn off until the temperature goes below that. I can't think throught the logic of Lamp On at Temp at this time. Also remember that the Phillips 250/2 lamps are not Hot Strike type. You must wait at least 15 mins before attempting a restrike. I believe venue temp will affect...

Platinum spot led does not have frost it has 16* lens and 90 watt LED .The Pro has 15* to 35* zoom 140 watt LED source .The Platinum spot 5R ,15R and 35R have frost

ok i tested this out here and found that if you go through the values it will activate the internal programs first. so a way around that is to record a scene or a cue at that value of 255 on channel 15 so it will work. that cue needs to be activated for about 4-5 seconds before it kicks in. in all honesty these lights aren't used for sound active purposes. so the effect might not be to good. but go ahead and try this out and let me know how it goes.

Hi Guys I am using Emulation 1.03 build 15 and having issues with the shutter. I cannot seem to get any setting to stop the shutter from coming on an off with both my eurolite thm250 and x-move led moving heads...my showtec led parcans work fine but the shutter issue is driving me nuts...HELP!

I recently added 2 new fixtures to my compu show setup and I created approx. 15-20 scenes for each fixture and saved them in their respective fixture page. Now I go to my master page and load an exiting scene, and then go back to my new fixtures and load different scenes until I find one that works well. Hey all, I am an audio guy with a basic background in lighting. I have a Platinum 5r beam that will randomly lamp off and lamp back on after sufficient cool down time. I changed the lamp and left it on for awhile and it lamped off again after 10-15 minutes. I am assuming there could be a few things that cause this but I am stuck on how I should troubleshoot next. When this club opened, it could have been an Elation crown jewel showroom. I think we had 24 each of the PSpot35's, PSpot 15 Pro, PSpot 5r Pro as well as several dozen PBeam 5r and 12 PBeam 15's. 250 Design Spot plastic cover panels
I have had these Design Spot 250 lights for about 9 years and the rubberized coating on the plastic covers of the lights had deteriorated into a sticky oily mess. You couldnt touch the units you'd end up with hands full of a greasy glop. No spray solvent I tried would remove this stuff. Elation couldn't help me, they wanted to sell me new replacement covers. eNode 4 pre-sales support questions
I'm considering the purchase of an eNode 4 ArtNet-to-DMX output device. I have some questions. 1. There doesn't appear to be any firmware download available under the Support / Downloads link on the Elation home page. Why is that? 2. Memory Error on Show Designer 2
Howdy, I'm working a festival this weekend and the production company brought a Show Designer 2, Revision 1.20 M3. When trying to save scenes, the console hangs on "Recording... please wait" forever (I've waited up to 15 minutes.) When recalling scenes that do appear to record, it gives a memory error and does not recall anything. Is this fixable in a short time frame? The console claims it has 900+kb of free memory. toggle between programs in full screen mode
i'm running emulation on MacBook Pro 15. is there a way to toggle between emulation and other programs without exiting the full screen mode? apparently command+tab doesn't work in this mode. also is there a quicker way to exit full screen mode than going through the options menu? thanks
