I have the Elation Compu Pro 06. DMX out only. I thought it was the one that had DMX in and out but after I bought it I found out that this one is discontinued and I don't see a DMX in module for sale anymore. Bummer.

hey delerious! elcome o the forums. i am pretty much the exact same way you are except im trying to make a job out of it. i suggest u download compuware. you do not need dmx for it. but you do however have to understand how dmx works. here is a link to the software. COMPU LIVE 06' and download the april 16 2007 edition ok. and for this software you can do exactly what you just describe with it and more! i'll let you take this in and then you acn get back to me. i can help tach ya too. p.s.

That just explains channel issues, not the strobing with internal programs and stand alone. The revision of the manual is from 12/06, and the 7 channel list is from 5/07, so the manual has yet to be updated for 7 channels or 6 channel lights are still being made/sold. What I stated is merely what was in black and white in front of me and what was sent with the product. It is also quite possible that PU lighting has an older, 6 channel version of the light and not the 7 channel. I know that...

Got the Compu live working at the club with the older Compu Club 06 I/O, works great imports all my saved files. YOU WERE RIGHT; ENGLISH LANGUAGE IS BLOCKED OUT OF ALL DROPDOWNS AND HINTS. Italian is the default but many other languages are available, it’s not to hard to understand most dropdowns if you are familiar with the software already. Is there a way for legitimate users such as myself with older I/O Dongles to get a patch from Elation to correct this?

I have the newest update Compu 06 software. I have another light that I was wondering if there is a profile out there for it. It's made by Blizzard Lighting and it's the ColorStorm 252. Is there a profile for that yet or do I need to make it?

OK Here goes. As of the last beta of CompuShow I tested, the profile editor still did not allow for a fixture to have multiple R, G, or B slots. Therefor, you can patch a matrix with the full profile but the effects will only work for pixel 1. (Very few console manufacturers have this capability built in to their consoles as of yet.) Build a Matrix of 3 Channel RGB Units. It can be handy to open a 3 channel LED fixture profile in the PROFILE EDITOR and name it Pixel and save it as Pixel.

When I try to rotate the screen in any direction it barely moved unless I made a dramatic sweeping mouse motion and then it would go nuts for a second and then freeze again. Hi JESUS Compu 2006, purchased 2010 in australia Elation importer distributor. Have downloaded a superceded compu 2004 version as well. I noticed on Elation web page "discontinued products" it states Compu "06 is considered a beta version to which there is no support" is this a problem?, is there a better and compatable software that will suit the hardware I have got Thnx Brett

Its giving me the same error of 'The device driver installation wizard did not update any of your software for your hardware device because it was not better then the software you currently have installed' Driver name: Visual Production (VPCueCAble) USB (01/06/2011 1.0.0.1) Then I click finish and I get 'Failed to install drivers. Did you connect CueCable?' Same thing I have been getting, and yes the cue cable is in place.

I know jingles is the master at this stuff but just to make it a little easier for you if your not finding the fade time in Compu 06. Click on the page that has you design spot 250's(great light choice btw) and then go to page (on the toolbar at the top) down to display and click scene-fade toolbar. a toolbar should pop up on you ds 250 page. now you can control the fade time on any scene on that page. just select the scene and control the fade times at the top. let me know if this helps!!! ...

Easy View 3D: Meters vs. Feet
Ok, I've tried changing the Stage Settings units from meters to feet, which seems to work fine but only for the stage itself. Any objects I try adding still seem to be represented in meters. Intermittent error 05, 06 & 07 DS 250
I keep getting intermittent error. When I brings the lights home, I get no error but at the show the fixture gives me 05, 06 & 07 error, I transport in the elation ATA dual case. I don't want to ship it n, because that alone is $100 round trip from Georgia, Also I have owner 6 of these fixture and error 5, 6 & 7 are the only errors I get ever get.

Anyone having a problem with CompuPro crashing a lot? I've tried it on two different PC's and it happens on both. Usually when I double click on an Init button. I downloaded the latest version fro Oct. 06 but it still happens. I won't be able to use this software in a show if its going to crash at any point during the concert.

I am wondering if I can rearrange the order of the scenes on the master page? When in the page mode, you just right click and drag it where you want it, when in the master page, when you right click and drag it copys the scene... All I can get it to do is put them in alphabetic order.

Compu Live: What is the proper name?
In the manual it is called Compu Live. In the product page of the website it is called Compu 1024EC, Compu 2048FC, Compu 2048FC+. At various internet stores it's been called Compu 02, 04 and 06, and Compu Club and Compu Pro. And I've seen references in this forum to Compu Pro 06 and Compuware and multiple variations of that. What is the proper name(s) and what are the differences? Thanks!!

I'm setting up CompuPro to work with existing lights at a club. They have 6 Track Spots that use 7 channels each but are addressed at 16 channel intervals, 1, 17, 33, ect. When I add them to a page in CompuPro it addresses them in order. Whats the best way to set them up so they have 9 blank channels between them. Thanks.

Basics of Compu Live 06
I work for a DJ/Production Company and was given the task of trying to get 8 Coemar Pro Spot 150lx's to work with the compu live software. Thus far, I have basically just added 2 fixtures (8 takes up too much room in the house) to turn on with the software. what do i do next, how do i adjust pan/tilt/gobo/color of these lights with this software. i click on those demo buttons that show up in the beginner mode and nothing happens. and how do you do just the basic of programming for these things?

Is there a place where I could just buy the DMX to USB dongle that I need. If my understanding is correct the software that comes with the bundles is the Compu Live '06. Am I right??? Compu 06 Help
I just changed our house lighting over to a dmx dimmer but I am having a problem. It seems that when it is dimming the lights, its doing it in small steps, which is making it impossible for me to do much of a fade without it not being very noticible. I have used the same dimmer on the stage lights for a while now, and have never noticed it, but Ive never had fade times over 5 seconds on them, the house lights are around 20-60. Thanks, Justin

Easy Show: Show Video on Second Monitor
I am using Easy Show with Compu 06. I have a question about video playback. How can I have the video show full screen on a secondary monitor? (The primary monitor is the laptop screen, and the secondary monitor is what would be projected during performance.) I can drag the monitor window to the secondary monitor, but when I hit the full screen button, it still displays on the primary monitor. It seems like there should be an option to control this, but I can't find one. Thanks!

hi, i have a question, the '06 version that i am using right now, cannot seem to recognize the interface that was included with the package, i've installed the dmx driver, i've read the manual over and over, but i still cant fix the problem. . the manual says that when i open the program i should see the release date and the one with red letters, the only thing i see is the release date (compu 2006 jul 3 2006) thats what it says what seems to be the problem? and how could i fix it? thanks

Hey guys, Just a long question, but hopefully a quick answer: When I'm in the Construction Mode of the 3D Viewer, there are 4 windows: Top Left - 3D Stage View Top Right - Object Parameters Bottom Left - Plan View of Stage Bottom Right - Front View of Stage My question is, is there any way to zoom in/out in the two bottom views? Global Edit of Values for One Light + Right Click to Fade
Hi, Currently I am running 4 Design Spot 250s and an assortment of Elation LED fixtures on CompuLive 06. I often find myself getting to a gig and spending an hour or more adjusting the X/Y and Focus channels for EACH DS250 in EVERY (50+) scene using these lights. I adjust the X/Y so that when the beams hit the floor at THAT venue it hits the right performer. I adjust the Focus so that the gobo is clear (focused) at that [new] location. Fading between scenes
Jingles: I have the compu live 06 software. The lights I have are the elation pro spot 250, I've been trying to fade into scences, via programing...slowly bring the lights onto the crystal ball, instead of a fast bang etc...I've read some of the other posts where you duplicate the scene and try to bring it in by fade times etc, but when I do it I get the same a jumping of the color and strobing somewhat...I read an old email, I think it was under basic programming...posteed on the 17th of...

Hello I have a much older Grey USB dmx dongle that originally came with Elation 2002, when it first came out. I since upgrade to 04 blue dongle which worked with 06 Compu Live software. While setting up a page in club04 using 6 SCX500's when I'm choosing white as the color the units will not accept the command instead they always go back to pink they will change to the other colors just not white all other features work fine.All 500's are address to 001. Three errors on a design spot 250
I had my wife buy this unit down in Florida and it had three error messages: 05, 06 & 07. Each error could have multiple causes. EG, error coder 05 "This message will appear after a fixture reset if the color wheel’s magneticindexing circuit malfunctions (sensor failed or magnet is missing) or there is a stepper motor failure (defective motor or a defective motor IC drive on the main PCB)." Design Spot 250 multiple errors
One of my original design spot 250's will run fine for a few minutes then starts having issues. It appears that the first thing to crap out is the shutter then everything but the pan and tilt. I can reset the fixture and everything will function again but only for a few minutes before the same errors occur. Eventually resetting the fixture does nothing and i get the following errors: 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 13. Any suggestions?

Design Spot 250 error
Hi, I am getting error 05, 06 & 07. Also during the channel test, nothing happens for channels 7 (gobo retation), channel 15 (scan speed) and channel 16 (Auto Program). For Channel 2 (pan high resolution) it only moves about 2 degrees and then resets and repeats. Same with Channel 4 (Tilt high resolution). What could be causing these error? IS it something I can fix myself? I have two other units I could borrow parts from to try and fix. Thanks for your help!
