Ok I have added the 8 fixtures I think there may be a problem with the dmx protocol's the coemar manual shows them as a 13 channel fixture while the ssl file shows it as a 6 channel fixture?

There is a way to do fade/no fade using the Midi controller. You can either do it with the virtual controller on the screen, or have an external one. Unfortunately you cannot use a single button to turn the fade on and off with the virtual board, you will have to use 2 buttons, or one of the faders on the board. Ok... after reading through the forum (which is awesome) last night for a couple of hours I think I figured it out... 1. Set the first DP-415 to read channel 1 2. Set the second DP-415 to start reading at channel 5 3. Set the first group (Back wash) of Color Wash light to read channel 9 (Master/Slave mode) 4. Set the second group (Back lights) of Color Wash lights to read channel 13 (Also Master/Slave mode) Is this right? Am I even close?

Mattrix, You'll need to create your own programs to limit the number of channels/lights being used. Here's how to program a chase. 1) Change the mode to "1-24 single" 2) Enter record mode (press and hold record button and tap buttons 1,6,6,8) 3) Create the first step of your chase using sliders 1-12. Press the record button and the display should then read step 001. Create as many steps as you need to complete your desired pattern. The controller will continue to display the number of steps...

Depending on the units in question, they might have a sound active setting via DMX. Look in the manuals/DMX charts for them. If confused, list the fixtures for us and hopefully we can help more. Sergio, I have an Scene Setter 24 ch connected to two ETC Smartpack wall mounted dimmer panels. SS24 outputs 1-12 go to 1st panel with 12 dimmers and outputs 13-18 to second panel with 6 dimmers. The SS24 outputs are in sequence but actual light wiring to dimmers is mixed. How can I assign sliders to match the phisical light configuration (as suggested in your remarks)? Or do I need to rewire the dimmer panels to match SS24 sliders? Johnhrv The existing

Sergio, Thanks for your reply. I am not at our church to check the DIPs but all 18 outputs are working now using DMX. No the slider channels have not been changed. BUT, that is what I want to try but cannot find instructions. Can you direct me to a source of instruction for changing slider output channels. My other option is to re-wire the ETC Smartpacks. My objective is to get the SS24 sliders in the same order as theater lighting fixtures (now mixed). johnhrv

OK, ten seconds of testing reveals (as I stated two weeks ago above) when you start program, FOG-STROBE-BLINDER buttons are latched ON. This was in C***** Build.13 as well and reported to them. still not fixed in Build.14 Will look at more after I put little one to bed.

It sounds like your addressing is off. Compu live software will auto patch for you however you need to make sure that your fixtures addresses match what is on the software. So when you are patching say 4 moving heads and you want them to start at 11 and you have 4 of them you need to tell the software starting address is 11 and number of fixtures is 4. As far as checking your addresses here is the best way. find your "Pages" tab as shown in the picture. I have circled in red all the starting...

Every color is coming up green, and I've tried using High End Trackspots v1 and high def profiles and am having the same problem. Jwyman, the profile I think you are looking for is already in the Ion: The "Design Spot 575E 8B" is the 8 bit (22 channels) of the Design Spot 575E and the "Design Spot 575E 16B" is the 16 bit (24 channels). The Design Spot 575B or Basic does not have any profiles in the Eos, Ion, and/or Element for the 8 bit (13 channels), 16 bit (15 channels) or 16 bit Extended (24 channels).

OK Here goes. As of the last beta of CompuShow I tested, the profile editor still did not allow for a fixture to have multiple R, G, or B slots. Therefor, you can patch a matrix with the full profile but the effects will only work for pixel 1. (Very few console manufacturers have this capability built in to their consoles as of yet.) Build a Matrix of 3 Channel RGB Units. It can be handy to open a 3 channel LED fixture profile in the PROFILE EDITOR and name it Pixel and save it as Pixel.

Well, to start with, we have the Stage Setter 8 controller, which is nothing more than a 16 channel DMX controller. Then you have 2 DP415 dimmer packs, which are both 4 channel dimmer packs. Starting in with your Roller Trons, I'm assuming perhaps incorrectly that you have the Roller Tron 250's. But I could be wrong. These are 5-channel DMX fixtures. Channel 3 and Channel 4, value 255, is SOUND ACTIVE. So these support SOUND active, probably in a "per mode" bass. Channel 3 being sound active...

Thanks a lot! So far it looks like everything I need. The 14 channel minspot (13 and 6 were easy to come by), scorpion storm rg, and others all seem to be there. I will check out the compu show later I do t have my lap top on me. I would really like to use it I hope I can get it to work. I did load it on my home pc also to make sure it wasn't a problem with the laptop but it does the same thing. Anyway, thanks again for your help, it is very appreciated!

Nuts, I don't have the magic, I have the Operator Pro. I may have posted in the wrong forum, saw DMX operators and thought it also included operator pro. But I did find what you are talking about, though I swear there is new information each time I look at the manual. I now see the lamp on command under the last channel, in my case 13. Thanks for your patience. I do have trouble seeing things that are right in front of me sometimes.

oh no this is the right forum. lol I saw magic 260 first and assumed it was for that. It's forthe Op PRO. got it. but ya channel l13 has the commands for lamp on and off and even color split enable etc. But ya put channel 13 in the Color change to any position value and then move the fader for the color wheel and you will get fine control of that. Also for color and gobo to any position this is usefull if you want the gobo channel to slowly fade from one gobo to the next without snapping.

I'm not sure what brand the dimmers are, but they are 12 channel. The start address of the one that does house lights is 1, the stage light dimmer starts at 13. I've sent you an email.

DMX address in 2/8 or 2/12 mode for Chavet
For the Elations 8 and 24 Trendsetter DMX 2 (9 or 13) in 2/8, 8/8 or 2/12, 12/12 mode isn’t recognized by Chauvet's EVE E-50Z (either in channel 1 or 3 mode). In fact, it refuses to work on any DMX channel other than DMX1. With the 1/16 and 1/24 mode DMX for all channels work individually as addressed. Is the Elations Trendsetter putting out an address which it’s not publishing? The other devices work on DMX 9 or 13 when in 2/8, 8/8 or 2/12, 12/12 mode.

eNode 4 pre-sales support questions
I'm considering the purchase of an eNode 4 ArtNet-to-DMX output device. I have some questions. 1. There doesn't appear to be any firmware download available under the Support / Downloads link on the Elation home page. Why is that? 2. I found an article in the forum that referenced a firmware updater appliance (hardware product). Does the eNode 4 indeed require a specialized appliance to perform firmware updates? My church recently updated it's older Scene Setter 24 to the newest model. We are running cans on faders 1-12 and have 4 RGB LED lights that we run on faders 13-24. On the old board everything works great. With the new board the cans work but not the LEDs. I have tried to look for articles to learn how to modify the DMX for faders 13-24 on the new board but it's like hunting for the Ark of the Covenant. Howdy! I need some advice. (obviously)... I am installing 10 Sixbar 1000 fixtures on a 3rd universe in our theatre.... I have addressed them starting at dmx 3/301 and so on using them in the 13 channel mode. When I set dimmer to 100% and bring up any color combination, three of the Sixbars do not work correctly. Transferring a user profile from one computer to the next does not work!

I am a complete moron on the scene setter 24. I understand DMX addressing. I have a 4 channel dimmer at DMX1 I have another one at DMX5 I want sliders 1-4 to control the intensity of the first 4 lights Slider 508 the second set. I have a stage ape ape coaster at channel 13.
