Just thought i would start here before doing anything drastic. Sometimes when using Elation Emulation I get a lag or delay between making a selection and the software actually responding. Software Installation /no communication

I downloaded the elation software (compu pro 2006)from the elation lighting website several times and there seems to be no communication between the software and the device. I have tried connecting the device to a different port and still no communication. The device seems to be working because I have a fast flashing red light, a solid yellow and a slow blinking green. Can profiles be programmed wrong and cause memory clearing?

I ask because I started experiencing memory blanking after uploading a new fixture profile set. I'm able to load in an old saved show with an older fixture profile and my issue of losing everything seems to go away. Just got a pair of used designspot 250s. Everything works fine except for the dimmer speed, it is super slow! I have adjusted the fade profile so that my manual intensity fader works better. However, when I run chases, the intensity speed is never affected, it does a slow fade to about 50% then comes back up to full. No matter what speed im set to it does the same thing... HELP!?

So , this kinda drives me just a little crazy. I was just going through some old YouTube videos and notice how much better my light shows were while i was still using Emulation (non-pro) I thought I was upgrading when I got Emulation Pro but unfortunately this is not the case. 1. My controller works with firmware version 1.02m. Is this the newest version? 2. All preset movements run too fast, so my moving heads can't follow. Well, I just thought this technology could record the manual fade time and or the speed settings to an individual scene chase. Please let me know if this DMX OPERATOR has a store setting for FADE TIME on an idividual chase of scenes or is it just MANUAL over the whole machine.. Or was I born too early It would be nice to go from a slow chase with slow fade to punchy scenes and are up tempo that are pre programmable to each chase button. I have several design spot 250's with software version 1.2 and 1.3, in version 1.3 there is a slow-fast dimming setting, I don't think it is in version 1.2, or I can't find it. On the version 1.2 ones, it takes 1 to 2 seconds to dimm out. On the version 1.3's in the fast mode it dimms immediatly. That said, I want the version 1.2's to dimm fast. The slow dimming doesn't work well for strobe effect. Anyone have suggestions, or can I upgrade the software in the field. thanks steve

Hi. I'm building a sound-activated lighting installation, using the 192 and simple Colorkinetics iW blasters. All I require is some simple scene and chase programming, no motion. However, as this is new to me (I'm a computer musician), I cannot get the 192 to even activate the lights in manual mode. The Theatre I work for recently purchased 2 design spot 250's and the Magic-260. We have several cues that require a slow fade to black. I thought I could program scene 1 with a dimmer value 255 (or whatever my inital value) then program scene 2 with a dimmer value of 0 and a fade of 10 seconds, but when I play this back I get and instant change (from 255 to 0 in 0 sec flat). I guess this is more of an idea than a request. I know that there is support through the rigger remote for iphone and such, but is there any way we could get better support on the ipad? I just bought one and would really like to make the large touch screen a useable tool. The internet based riggers remote is often slow depending on the internet connection. Maybe Elation/cuelux could design an ipad app that allowed more than just playbacks ie programing cues, controlling fixtures without cues.

First thanks as always for the info. I have been debating updating to the new software, but the compulive does what I need it to. I use LED par cans, and sometimes so strobes. My biggest issue with the software is I want a universal fader that is easy to change between scenes, as sometimes I want fast fades, other times slow. Could a fader be assigned on a Midi external midi board for this? I also would like to be able to assign one "pot" or fader to change the speed of chases and strobing.
