I guess that is what i was waiting for it is a shame that 7 of the 8 programs are bad and that is that. I will be ordering the next twenty units sometime this week only i will be going with the Colorado1 from chauvet. I have ten of this units and the feature sets and service are way better and the price is $100+ better then the design 36. I am also starting to have problems with my design 60 units and will be shoping for another brand to complete my need for 15 more units.

on a side note. your spot 250 uses 6 DMX channel and the vue 3 uses 9. 9+6=15 DMX channels total. so you only have room for maybe one or two pars on the stage setter 8. might want to look into a bigger controller. like jthtigers DMX operator 192.

I have invested heavily in elation and my main complaint is that I feel that the customer service needs help. I like where they are heading but I am unwilling to continue with this years spending until somehow I feel that they are improving or are at least willing to listen. I know specifications are subject to change but I have had two times where I ordered two sets of lights as little as one month apart and received two different versions. This makes building systems of like units harder.

Not 100% true jingles, you can dim fluorescents with a Sine Wave dimmer, which are very expensive. All light sources emit UV. Nothing has the same effect as fluorescents because fluorescents output a lot of UV do to design. So much so that they are used to sterilize things. All fluorescents have a coating to block UV so it doesn't hurt anyone. Black light fluorescents don't have as strong a coating, allowing save levels of UV out. They are also colored purple because UV has no color...

i copied this straight from the website so i am wondering why you cant map?????????????? Why we are at it I also noticed that the 7 attribute traits sheet is still on the Design 36 page? Full video pixel mapping control. LEDs are arranged in ten modules of 84, each of which can be divided into four individual sections. This provides a total of 40 pixels capable of running graphics or matrix when multiple units are used together.

Hey Jingles, Nice stage! I am wondering if you can design me a stage, that I can import into compu? I would have you build me one with lights and all, but I am looking at doing several different things with the stage, so I will add my own. I don't care about adding all the details, if you could just do the shape and layout it would be great! The stage is 45' wide, 16' deep, the ceiling peaks at 18' and goes down to 10' on the side walls. The only rounded shape is the front lip of the stage,...

FAR OUT! yes, with that stage (Northside Assembly) I will have 2 Design Spot 250 lights out front and a pair of DLED 38 MH lights as well. The stage might get 8 DLED fixtures but I'm pushing for a grid of 12 Acclaim X-EYE HD lights(RGB and a few Cool White). Thats the start anyhow. LOOKS GREAT!

I do however need the columns if you can figure out a way to add them. You can see the 2 on the back wall in the picture, and there are also 2 on each side wall. There was a list of MASTER and about 4 or 5 other fixtures below that. As I double clicked each one, a list of Custom, Elation, and a few others came up. In the Elation list I saw the DLED lights but not the Spot 250 or the Acclaim lights. Did see the RIVA80 lights though, which are similar to the X-eyeHD lights from acclaim.

As far as I can remember, the polarity switch should take the place of the polarity reversing cable to get the Robos to listen. However, other fixtures in the chain would then need to have a reversed polarity cable to 'un-reverse' the signal. You'll just need to do some creative lighting plot design and daisy-chaining to get 'regular' and 'reversed' polarity to work in the same show. You will just need to daisy-chain all the Robos together and then put the reversing cable in between the...

Not to rob Jingles of business, but I think it would be beneficial for you to just buy a small DMX controller that will allow YOU to program your own scenes and chases. For one, you will learn a lot about DMX lighting and how to accomplish many different things. Plus, you will be able to modify, remove, and add to your current banks of scenes and chases without having to rely on someone else providing designs for you. You will then know how it all works inside and out, plus have the...

bdunard, Yes, a wash will be about from 40 brighter than a spot. You have a lot more light being projected along a bigger beam of light. However, that's all a wash fixture does.. color change.. but the beam of light it projects is impressive. Most rigs require a 1 to 1 ratio where you have 1 wash to every spot. So if you have 8 Spots you should also have 8 washes. But with the Frost filter of the Design Spot's it helps resolve not having to buy so many washes. Still the wash effect of a...

Power Spot 575 vs Design Spot 575. It really depends on what features you need. CMY, frost, zoom, animation wheel, iris, and dual rotating gobo wheels can be very useful and powerful tools. The question is do you need them? That is something you have to weigh out for yourself. Power Spots also don't come in a white form, only the DS line does. I can say from my stand point, I use iris a lot do to the nature of shows I do. So every mover I own has to have one. I can also say that the PS 575IE...

So the Power Spot 575IE gives you that option. -Now- The Power Spot 575ie literally weighs 42 lbs. This fixture is so light to hang you want to hug it. This is because it has a multi voltage electronic transformer, so you can plug it in 220V or 110V and it auto senses the voltage. If you ever run 220V...
