Even with my dimmer set to 0 and a fade time to 30 sec, it snaps to a black out. No slow fades. Re: design 108
Doubtful. If the Impression run about 180w worth of LEDs can go color for color to a 575w discharge, I think the DLED108 will edge out over a 250w discharge. 250/575=.43; 108/180=.6. I know the math isn't as simple as that thanks to differences in the color temperatures of the discharge lamps, but it gets the general idea across. The DLED108 in theory will be about 20% brighter color for color over the 250w. Things to remember about the higher color temperature of the 250w lamp is that it...

Re: Stage setter 8 & DMX LED panels
Hi Mike, The stage setter 8 is a straight forward controller channels 1-8 or channels 1-6 consecutivly. So the controller will always give you the same results. I think the best thing for you would be to contact Chauvet and see whats up with the Color Pallette.. It has some pretty complex channel assignments, and if you address them to 1 for simplicity sake they should do the same thing. For other channel or menu setting on the Color Palette you need to work with chauvet. Best regards,

Re: Compu Live Question
So the house dimmer is tied into the same line as the rest of the lights, and you have both the x-fade and compu controlling them with an a/b switch? You are saying all the lights work ok when controlling with compu, but when you switch it to the x-fade the leds go nuts? If so, they are probably losing dmx since the x-fade is only 6 channels. The only option you have is to set the leds so that when they lose dmx they do not go to auto mode. Finally, you can also add a wall panel from the...

Thats a good question. Here is what Partime has going on. A system consiting of house lights which are only a few DMX channels..6 I believe to be exact. When Compu is on everything is great.. That's because his LED par cans are recieving DMX.. When he switches to the simple X-fade, it is only activating 6 channels..The LED pars lose DMX and go into sound active mode. Using an AR 32 system will activate all 512 dmx channels. The problem is he bought the wrong controller for the Job. I'm...

Re: ADJ led questions
First let me say, dont rely on the visualizer! I have had several different lights that would not show up as being on, even though they were on at the actual light. There is a setting on channel 6 that makes the light go dim/bright/dim, and it sounds like the dmx values are off on the program. I would just program the light in real time, if thats not possible you will have to do it as close as possible in the visualizer and tweak it live. In regards to your other question, alot of lights...

Re: Noobie question..
No you cant split the function of a dmx light. either has to be dmx or stand alone. and also do not plug in a DMX light to a dimmer pack EVER. you will ruin the light. the chips and such cannot handle being dimmed in that way. so if you have a led or two at about 6 dmx channels that will use up either 6 or 12 channels on that board. read the PDF and see if it makes sense in there. ok? let me know if you have any more questions after you have read it. Re: How do you select & Group of fixtures?
Hey E*dub, If I am following you right, it sounds like you want all of your LED pars setup to control all lights with color, strobe etc? To me it sounds like you just need to create a new page in compulive, and specify how many fixtures, and your start DMX address. Once the page is created, it will automatically control all lights at the same time on that page. You would then have to go to the “fixtures” tab on that page, and select the lights you would want to put into groups so that you...

Re: DMX Operator Pro and MIDI
Thanks John. I wish I could step up to the showdesigner, but at that point, I would just get the 1024FC and have the timeline ability. Basically, I am only running 8 channels of pars, 4 scanners, and 4-6 LED PARS's so both the software and the showdesigner 1 are way overkill for as little as I have. Plus, fundage is pretty low. So I guess we are back to the 3 questions: Can you select par scenes/chases independent to moving light scene/chases? Can they be selected this way with MIDI as well?

This has been resolved and in the latest version, you can use MIDI triggering, so we can just move forward from that. Issue 2: How easy is it to trigger MyDMX? Well, it really depends. Overall, the answer is yes, since most people are going to use MIDI NOTE ON commands for triggering scenes. Once a triggers are...

Mattrix, The T16F works a little different from the Dp-Dmx4B, so you'll need to assign each pack it's own address. The T16F uses 5 channels of DMX and is automaticaly assigned to channel 1 when placed in slave mode. Raising slider 1 to value 255 will allow you to have control of the 4 channels on the pack using sliders 2-5. The Dp-Dmx4B will need to start at channel 6 (dip switch 1,2 and 3 to the on position). You can assign the same address to the third dimmer pack and control them together...

Re: Understanding the DMX Operator
Yes that's correct. and DMX is really a constant data stream anyways. there is a certain series binary of code every time the faders moves up or down to any given value and even a "0" value code. which is why you still get a dmx signal even though all your channels are at 0. make sense? but there is no need to think of it at that grand a scale for you yet. haha. Never seen anyone ask that question before. ha. disclaimer i am not a DMX expert so if anyone finds a fault in my explaination...

Re: operator 192
Well, Correct me if I am wrong but that board is mainly for intels. you don't need to setup a fixture profile for dimmer packs they simply dimmer (0-255) the dip switch need to be setup for channel for ex if you want dimmer pack one to be channels 1-4 set it as ch 1. if you want dimmer pack 2 to be 5-8 set it as 5. also there is probably a way to make it run on 1ch 2ch or 3ch. if you want ch1-4 turn all dip switch to off. Also note this is not a DMX dimmer pack. it is an NSI Miroplex one...

no not really those are general instructions. basically each fixture button controls a set of 16 dmx channels. so if your color fusions are say 6 channels each. And you have the first one addressed to 1 and the second one addressed to 7. then that means that if u have your fixture one button on (Green LED on) if you move faders 1-6 it will adjust the channels for your first light. now if u hit the channel bank button u will have access to the rest of your channels used on your second...

Ive run speed and fade variations during and after playback still the same.It slows down even more when fade time is set to 0. It has an uneven strobe effect if fade is above 0. Have you tried resetting the fixture via the console and/or on the fixture itself? Every once-in-a-while a fixture will do that on me and a reset fixes it. Also, which console are you using? It might be an issue in the profile if it is doing it across more then one fixture. Are you using an old DS250 profile by chance? The old DS250 was at 0% intensity when channel 12 is at DMX value 15 vs 0 for version 1.3 and the DS250 Pro.
